Hi!

I'm having a language trip (through EF) to UK Oxford in the summer to hone my language skills :tongue:

The trip lasts three weeks and ofcourse I would like to trick with some local trixzczxczxcters there! :smile: So, any gatherings taking place between those dates? :juji:

What kind of training possibilites are there, part from sand and grass? :cool:

:smile: theres a few good free-runners/trickers in oxford i go up there every so often, i'd be happy to trick with you :juji:


theres only a few real trickers around oxford but the guys there are really cool to train with anyway....... where abouts in oxford are you going to be ?

there is a gym sort of near oxford or if you fancy coming down then you could come to Basingstoke gym with a few guys from oxford who make it down here regularly

Ok update.

I'll be residing in HEADINGTON in Oxford... The school i'm attending will be the Brookes university :P

The time draws nearer :D I'm so exited!

Can someone local tell me SPECIFICALLY what the training possibilities are there? I've heard that it rains quite alot in the UK and I hope the nearest gym wouldn't be the Basingstoke one :P. I'll be happy if there would be some indoor training place, close enough to go there by bike if it happens to rain, doesn't have to be plyofloor, something soft like wrestle mats would be nice :tongue:.

The trip organizer promised to arrange some sport activities but they didn't tell precisely about the gyms..

There are no gyms in oxford :sad: no plyo floors, nothing. You'll probably be able to rent out the brookes sports hall or their dance studio which has alrightish mats and solid judo mats if you fancy it.

The nearest gym is Banbury, which is 20mins away on the train.

20 mins...that's as far as our closest gym is lol stop complaining hehe :P

its in another county.... you have to get a 20 min train, then a taxi about 5 miles out into the countryside for a 1hr session (if you're lucky)

instead of paying £4 for the gym session its closer to £20 in total.

it sucks balls man, thats why i trick on grass 95% of the time :agony:

If i want to go to any gym it costs me around £20, whether its rugby/basingstoke/coventry etc, the train prices in the UK are fucking ridiculous! Banbury is ONE STOP away from oxford and it costs £9 to get there.

We'll judo mats are better than nothing :) If it's even possible to train on one of those and not being awfully expensive...

What about the rain then :tongue: How many times you get to trick on the grass?

i just wished i hadn't had to work so much so we could have hung out more.

Damn those noodle bar bastards for taking their own tip out of our change....
