Ok, So for winter break I borrowed my friend's video camera so that I could make a sampler. I got most of it completed, not my best material, but good enough since i've been tricking for over 2 years without releasing any video.

The camera takes an SD card, but at the moment anytime I turn the camera on it gives me "Card Error" and I cannot film or playback or anything. It started after I deleted a few files from the SD card, so eventually I just deleted all the files on the card. I have tried to format the card through the camera but it will not let me due to card error.

The camera is a cannon ZR200
Has anyone else had a similar problem? What did you do to fix it?

I googled it and the best thing I could find was to blow into the camera, but that did not work. This is bad timing because I just needed a little more footage and I would be able to finish my sampler.

You can try and format the card on another camera. Or if you have a card slot for your computer, format it there. Probably you need a new SD card. THis happened to me on my camera once. I lost a lot of my good photos. I WAS PISSED!!! SD cards just go bad sometimes.
So basicly your friends camera broke in your possesion.
O NOES!!!!

Good Luck!

fuck, thats what I was afraid of. I was still able to read the card in a card reader at the library(my home computer is shitty and does not have sd slot).

I will try with a new card then, luckily they are not too expensive

thanks for the reply

i've tried taking the card out for a period and blowing on the card and camera but didn't take out the battery.

I suppose it's worth another try
