View Full Version : Pelvic Trouble?

I've got a wierd pelvis. Whenever I do a crescent, it's like the bones within are grinding together and they hurt real bad. It's been like that for years.

Lately it's gotten worse for my left leg, and I believe it's due to me trying to work on my aerials. Today I trained again for aerials, and everything at the joint connecting the leg to my pelvis just HURT. >.<
And now I'm scared to train for aerials, let alone CARTWHEELS. Is my pelvis inflamed or what's happening? Would flexibility help?

Could be that one of your hips is rotated inwards slightly more so then another, I would suggest going to a Chiropractor and see what they can do for you. That or stop doing aerials and crescents.

Hmmm. I hear ya.

But, hey, it could be just from the aerial training. >.< Has been hurting since I started it, but, oh well. No pain no gain.

Thanks muchly, mate! Inwards, hmm...?

Having any of you bones out of position, even a toe crooked can cause much pain to a lot of areas. Take this concept, when you cut your finger or something and there's a scab and its sore, you really don't think it will effect you but throughout the day you keep hitting it, realizing it is very much used.

One of you hips could be rotated in very slightly and throw everything off. And you don't usually hear people saying their hips are sore from aerials, usually its your lats, Anyhows just best to go see a chiropractor

No pain no gain.

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!!!

Stop any activity that causes this aggravation immediately. I wouldn't even stretch it until you know what's up. See a professional like CodyLee said.

Yeah, he's right, Pain is your body's mechanism telling you that there is something wrong. There's good pain and bad pain. Like when you stretch it hurts but it feels good at the same time, thats the good pain. When you go to do an aerial and it feels like someone just hit you in your hips with a baseball bat thats a bad pain, a pain you shouldn't ignore.

Well if I find out that it's due to however my pelvis is shaped, then what's the point of even going if it can't be changed so that both legs glide smoothly in their sockets?

After all, it could be summit way different. I dunno.

PS: Good for you, Cody! ^^ I hear ya'll chiropractors get payed well, dude.

Heh? The whole point of going is to find out exactly what's wrong, and how best to treat it. Maybe you'll find out that your bones are abnormal and it can't be fixed, but that's still a lot better than not knowing and trying to fix it yourself. If you don't treat this properly, you could end up with a permanent injury (they really suck).

By the way, is the pain in the front of your hip? And when you say "It's been like that for years", do you mean it's hurt for years, or that your hips have just been strange for years?

It's possible that this is just an inflammation of some tissue in your hips, caused by too much training. Seriously though, see a professional - no-one on this forum is a substitute.

Aye it's front. No, not in as it hurt, but that the bones would kinda bump into each other like, 'Yo, I see you,' and 'Yeah, I know.' And since today they've been "Yo, summit hurts!" and "Yeah, okay!"

I was thinking perhaps the ligaments are kinda hurt right now. I have overworked myself 'trying' aerials for two days in a row (today would've been a third, but I called it quits and worked on cartwheels instead).

But I'm not going to worry too much of it. Being tense kinda makes it worse. XD But danke schon.

Well you see the rotation of your hips doesn't mean the problem is in your hips, a simple correction of the spinal cord can cause your hips to reshift properly, there's lots of detail and stuff but the point is chiropractor ftw haha, and I'm seeing about 60k/year as a Chiropractor

And the pain is in the LEFT leg; you know, the part where the leg connects with the body. That's where it hurts; I probably just pulled summit. Give it a rest and see what happens. The leg is normally alright. I must have just done summit to make it so sore at me. :(

DANG, that's some good money!! :O You could buy a Wii. ^^ :D

Haha, right right!

Sue Nintendo to get 'em to make Wii Tricking. *shrugs* Educate the lesser people.

Wii tricking haha completely useless to real life tricking, sounds like guitar hero haha,

I'm currently working on my wallflip just cause its the sex, I have this annoying twist I do sometimes though, working out the kinks

Sudrunk Monkey
Jan-02-08, 05:55 PM
Well you should. They ARE the sex, man!

A move I wanna practice is the B-twist. I comprehend the physics; just getting my body to do it is the fun part XD Otherwise I think I could do it.

Cartwheels, however, rock socks. ^_~

haha yeah the b twist is annoying, but yeah wall flips are the sex...i only want it for impressing haha, its not to hard to do either, I've landed them I just want to have no fear of doing them at all, I love 540/sideswipes too

Sudrunk Monkey
Jan-02-08, 06:05 PM
I hear that, and at least one of us here loves 540's. -_-

I'm still on tornado kicks. I dunno; b-kicks are the easiest to do, and they look oooooh so pretty. Easier to do than attempting aerials, lol!

Haha one day you'll aerial and be like wtf, that was an aerial thats to easy?! and then your aerials will be effortless. I love 540's because I can hit a target above my head level with them and it so easy to turn into sideswipe

I hope so ^^ I hope I get past Class B at least before I go "Well I can TOTALLY like relax" ^^

Hehe, that's a good point. Imagine pulling it off in a sparring match, you know? :O
