Is a parafuso (in tricker terms) just a 540 kick landed on both feet?

I'm a bit confused by the terminology because in capoeira a "parafuso" is actually what trickers would call a regular 540

Just curious

Actually now that I look at it again the capoeira version is only different in the location that you bring your legs together.

The capo one is basically a 540 which you can land on either the kicking leg (a regular 540) or both feet, but in the 2nd case you bring your feet together at the very end, not in mid-flight.

Well I think sessh helped him big deal already. He nicely explained to him, that Parafuso isn't just a 540 landed on to leg, but told him that the first leg must go up performing a kick, and in the middle the leg with which you do a 540 kick, joins, "crashes" into the first leg and they both go down.

In capoiera Parafuso would just be a normal trickster 540 yes (at least a guy in my gym said that 540 is called parafuso in capoiera...).

You might not be aware of this, but we've had discussions on what the Parafuso is several times. Different "grupos" of Capoeira have it different, in some...the "Parafuso" is a 540, in others the "Parafuso" is 540-Doubleleg.

Regardless of what it is to you, just know that when it comes to tricking...Parafuso = 540-Doubleleg.
