Performance for me.
Plus I don't want to live a totally sedentary lifestyle (when not tricking), which would render me quite useless in my opinion. Everyone should keep their body physically capable.

I don't train, but those are all excellent reasons to.

Everyone is changing their avatar...I suppose i'm due for one as well.
Because I was sick and tired of my physical self after 21 years of living with the same type of slack and useless body.

My only reason for training (at all, or at a particular moment) is that I enjoy doing it. Other factors go into the decision as to how to conduct my training and workouts, though - all aimed, I suppose, at maximising the amount of training I can do in the end (since I enjoy it), while minimising the negative effects from it.
As for what else I'd like to acheive from training, well its the same shit as everyone else - total physical supremecy.

All the cool kids are doing it, so I thought I better jump on the wagon.
(I actually did it out of boredom. I don't really like this avatar, I was just thought I should go through the process.)

To attract more water nymphs.
Since I don't train for aesthetics, I would say to perform better, but I don't play any sports and I don't do competitive lifting, so that's rather moot as well. Considering that I have not yet met a real water nymph, I might as well be training for them as for anything else. I progress for the sake of progress.

I like it =] I just like working my body, I like the feeling of lifting things. I like physicaly activity and it just happens to appeal to me most.

Primarily for aesthetic purposes. Performance is secondary. Also because it's great mentally and all that other shit.
Lemme tell you a short story. When I dislocated my shoulder and it was in a sling, and I counted the amount of times the first day that I tried to change the way I was sitting by lifting my lower body clear and settling it down in the new position. Then I reflected upon all the people form whom that small motion would be impossible and vowed never to be like them.
Well, looks and the fact that while I'm in good shape my asthma doesn't bother me are both good pluses.

Aesthetics is mainly in people's genetics in my opinion. I've seen people with great looking muscles, but I was much stronger than them.

I'd say aesthetics are a secondary goal to me as well.
It seems lots of regular people have seemingly low standards for what it counts to be "buff", so it's easy for even someone like me to gain bonus points from people haha.
But I think performance is part of aesthetics, for me personally. Being strong and capable of physical tasks which the average man isn't is something that appears good to me.

haha, I know some people like that, who are huge and can bench a fucking car, but have little little functional strength (outside of benching cars, that is). I find it especially funny b/c I have one friend who is twice my size and weight, pure muscle, and I can hand him his ass easily in any martial contest because of the above reason. :juji:
