Yesterday,when i was doing my chest workout (Dumbell press,Incline bar press,and decline db press) i noticed that today my triceps are sore.Is it ok to be sore here?or should i lighten up the weights and work on form.my chest is also sore

Just so you know bench pressing involves the triceps and pectoral muscles.

Was that the first time you have done that workout, or did you go extra heavy? Soreness is fine, and not an indicator of poor form.

Well your hamstrings aren't going to be sore are they?

he was just asking if it was alright to be sore... if he said anything was sore or hurting.. that would definitely mean he was doing something wrong.. which he (I would hope) already knew... which means this thread wouldn't be here, would it?

as to the op, let me answer your question with another question... is it just soreness, or does it actually hurt all the time and just when you are using the muscles?

soreness.but normally when i use lighter weights for more reps,(15 rep/3set) my chest just hurt.my triceps don't hurt.So i guess when i added more weight my triceps ended up doing more work, which worried me into thinking i was cheating. :agony:

Triceps is always involved in presses. If I don't feel anything in my triceps after a chest workout, I'm disappointed.
