Something is wrong with it and I don't know what.
I was running (one hour, ~10km, half asphalt, half country-road) and it just started to hurt. It got worse the next day, so I obviously took a pause from running to heal get better. It was fine after a few days, but as I tried to run again, the fun was over after 15-20 min (it's ok while walking). Then I said to hell with it and stopped running completly.
This happend after two months of running 6 days a week. Overuse strain at first glance, as I wasn't running before this at all.

Now, after a month and a half, I tried again and I almost cried because I spent a month and a half waiting FOR NOTHING.

I was icing it, using bandages, hot/icy water intervals and creams but nothing helped.

I'm going to doctor tommorow, but I still want to know what do you think and I'll be gratefull if you share any experiences, because I've read damaged achilles tendon might take forever to heal properly.

Thank you.

Inflammation perhaps? If you're seeing a general practitioner he'll most likely give you anti-inflammatories.

If it's a tendon injury from overuse then icing and anti-inflammatories will do jack shit to help you.

I figured that out myself, thank you.

What I was saying was merely what the general practitioner will most likely do, I never said it was the right thing. I also wildly speculated (and stated in said speculation) that it could be an inflamed achilles tendon.

I did research again and found out I should gradually increase exercise (running) and strenghten my calves (already doing it).
It's not inflammation and thankfully it's not partial rupture.
I guess it'll go away eventually, I'll wait for a few weeks to see where this is heading and then go to doctor.

If anyone has or will have any familiar problems, read through this Achilles Tendon (http://www.achillestendon.com/)

Be very careful with your achilles tendon, my uncle hurt it playing volleyball and he was in a cast for a long time.

I am. After three months is finally getting better. Guess my calves just weren't up to the task.
I was doing 10 pistols per leg but couldn't lift my own weight more than 10x while doing calve rises. Now it's much better.
