Hi guys and girls, well on wednesday i learnt how to do a really good back handspring by my gymnastics coach... I did them like pretty much good until thursday (the next day). I did some on grass and it went abit sideways and felt horrible... Any tips why?, and my shoulder hurts like hell since doing them... can anyone give me any tips to recover as well

it seems your body needs to get used with the impact, i think your'e jumping to much.
do macacos fto improover your bhs.
it will avoid you to go sideways.

The reason is lack of comittment due to soreness in your shoulders.

If that was your first time trying it on grass, then you probably went sideways out of fear. Keep practicing on a softer surface. Trust me. I had to relearn my bhs to straighten it out.
