Yada yada yada yada. Some new tricks, some slight combo's (I'm like Nintendo's WiFi, I suck at connectivity) Also, I was a bit HO during most of this session. Enjoy

If you're a subscriber to me on youtube, you might recognize a few of these clips.

Song: "The scientist" by The Ready Set.
A local musician from my town. You can check out his other music at http://www.myspace.com/thereadysetmusic

haha I didn't make this shirt. It's an "official" ready set shit. I guess it just wouldn't fit the other way. It was most def a meijer, I was doing more tumbling in there but I hit a shelf and it ended my session.

Also thanks for all the response. I will be getting those twist swangs down soon.

I can't hyper for the life of me still. Grrrr!

That's a funny coincidence since your DON'T HATE, UNDERSTAND shirt also had too large of font. I guess they didn't get the clue either that they should decrease the size.

If you have to think about what a shirt is really saying that means that you have to spend more time looking at that shirt, thus more noticing time.

It's all simple economic target marketing...lol?

wow, Towels is a real tricker now. Still i find the lack of kicks and kicking combos disturbing

You're right. I'd spend more time deciding that I hate it haha.

I guess if I was in a band and wanting to make a shirt, I'd make it look cool, not sacrifice that to make more money.

Niice tdraiz-corks as I already told you. Good shit!
The scoot-full was also good :good::smile:

The TDraiz s/t cork was the only good thing.

You bailed like 80% of the tricks in the video, cutting clips short doesn't mean you landed it.

Btwist round looked great till I was afeared yourn knee was gonna splode. Hyper attempts and winmeals were ncie to my eyeballs. Was that a stepover 180 hyper lol? Seriously though, if you are going to tumble, you neeeed to clean it up.

ANd wait... what credits?

Anyways

Is anyone like me where coming out of transition moves like td raiz's and scoots it's easier to twist than it is to do a straight gainer or flash?

Feb-04-08, 07:58 PM
Yeah. Rly repetitive...You still have that style of landing in which you look like you are unsure of yourself. Maybe have some confience in your moves?? lol, just a suggestion. Seriously, more kicks or you're just a tumbler/acrobat.

Anyways, you really are improving. Keep it up.

I took what you said to heart,
that's why I went through and did a statistical analysis of my sampler.

I did approximately

18 flips
17 kicks (not counting tdraizes)
22 twists.
When you do the math, (adding them up to 57 moves total, then take each subsequent categories and divide by 57) You get;

32% flips, 30% kicks, and 38% twists.

Now you are right to say that my video was not made up of a lot of kicks, in fact only 30% of my video had kicks in it. But if you look at this information in a different way.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j198/towlie2110/Graph.jpg

(If you need any help explaining the graph, I'd be happy to provide a speech on tape doing so.)
I'll paraphrase the tape while it uploads to amazon.

"This sampler is evenly mixed with all three types of tricks "

I actually liked the samp. Reminded me a lot of a Cepop samp, which is wha tyou were aiming for, i'm sure. But somehow it's different.

Good job Towels, keep it up. :)

Feb-04-08, 09:38 PM
i dont understand why you would count tdraiz as a kick in the first place.

im glad you listened but i dont think you get the point still.

combos need to consist of all types of tricks...kicks,flips,and twists.

ex: c900>hook>tdraiz>s/t boxcutter> scoot> hyper900hook

thats a decent combo...mainly composed of kicks, but it still has twists...

yes your sampler according to your stats is very well rounded, when watching it you just see twist after twist, with kicks sprinkled in here and there.

im kinda not sure where im going with this but i would really like to see you incorporate more kicks in your combos..

I may have frowned on some actions of yours Towels but I'm past caring about what moves you decide to do and considering your latest vids haven't annoyed me in any way I just want to say congrats on improving overall. I'm finding myself sick of reading many of the remarks in this thread in reference to what you were doing in the sampler. I'm not sure how much you care about being a "trickster" but hopefully you care less about the label then you used to. It's quite nice not having that on your chest all the time and rather just enjoy doing the moves because they're fun. Always keep that in mind and keep it up.

TOO MANY HATERS.

Fev very clean tricks like axe aerial, or btwistround, and soon I think You will have nice dbllegtwist...

Very nice proportions of tricks to :-)

very nice stuff man. Despite what others say, you are incorporating more kicks into your samplers than before, which means your exploring them. Kicks are not for everyone, same with every type of trick. Everyone has a niche, and when they choose to improve it that's great. Improving the balance is awesome as well. Such as displayed in this sampler. There were plenty of twists and flips. And some kicks with those. People shouldn't tell you what tricks to do just cause they want to see it, you should do it cause you want to. Like you showed in this sampler:D. I liked it. Not a bad song choice, and the improvement to your other samplers is awesome. Your adding in more power, which is making your tricks look a little meaner and cleaner.
Keep up the improvements dude.

You confuse me.

Perhaps my time spent working on a move I don't have perfected could be better spent working on a puzzle?

I hear all the best trickers train by solving Rubik's Cubes.

Feb-05-08, 05:45 PM
I spent a road trip to the mountains trying to learn how to solve those. When I learned it was all just memorizing series of combinations i stopped.
