this sounds stupid ..but what should i do to grow some few extra inches?
i'm 6 feet tall ..and i'm looking forward to reach 6' 4" or more
recommendations? types of Exercises...what kind of food to eat ..etc.
If you could just make yourself to grow a third of a foot, don't you think we'd all be a lot taller?
TODAY I FEEL LIKE BECOMING 6'9.

There's a reason it sounds stupid. That reason is because it's not possible to control unless you surgically implant extensions into your body or some shit.
I'm 6'1'' and wouldn't want to be any taller. 6 foot is not a bad height. I think it's funny you of all people would want to be taller. You usually hear that from people in the 5 foot range. I can't imagine what reason you'd want to be 6'4'', maybe you should tell us (even though it makes no difference but I'm curious). Plus you're 18 and probably won't grow anymore (if you do it won't be more than an inch or so probably).
Exercise and diet will not affect your height. Accept the way you are and shut the hell up.

You could have an operation where they break both your legs and allow them to set slightly longer.

I'm 6'4". I don't find anything wrong with this, I wish I only had a bit heavier constitution. But I guess I'm just seriously lacking some pounds.
If you aren't into basketball, you have no reason to be taller. Except the dudes like me
As has been stated, your total height is exclusively determined by your genetic predisposition.

i think limiting your caloric intake during your growing years could have a negative effect on your overall height. Probably wouldn't make a difference after youve already grown, but up until your mid teens i can see that

What makes people shorter?
lifting weights does..but not to all
don't eat alot ..or eat junk food the whole time (fat ..and won't get u taller)
dunno what else

Malnutrition and extreme stress on you bones are the two you mean I think. Rational training shouldn't cause stunted growth.

If you mean spinal compression, it happens all the time when you are awake, not only when you lift weights. All people loose a few centimeters of height every day due to this, and everyone regains them during their sleep (decompression).

At 18 you've probably done most of your growing. Eat adequately, maybe exercise to get GH up in case your bone plates haven't actually closed (rare). There are a lot of height gain websites out there you might want to read, but be a skeptic.

I read a few years ago in an old Soviet era magazine about a guy who got a foot taller in a year by doing various exercises - downhill sprints, jumps and other stuff. Dunno, maybe it was bullshit though.

Well he was either young and going through a major growth spurt or yeah it's complete bullshit.
It's not like Compleks is any better a source than "my grandpa" anyway, considering he thought lifts in the 200 pound range were "super strong" haha.

those high intensity exercise promote a higher HGH production by your body. but I don't think it would do really much (maybe 0.5inch when done for years).
exogenous HGH (high dose I think they use 6-8IU/d but I may be wrong) - which is used for the treatment of GH deficiency - on the other hand...
Doing high intensity exercise would condense your bones and press out any extra fluid in between your vertebrae anyway, so the net effect is nothing.

I did?
Was that a direct quote?
No, and it was from Shengoikee's "what are your main lifts" thread where you implied that people had super strength when in fact their lifts were all basically average.

The hormones in milk actually contributes to height. But seeing as how you're 19, it's probably too late for milk to make much of a difference.

As has been stated, your total height is exclusively determined by your genetic predisposition.
Not quite. Your total potential height is exclusively determined by your genetics. But almost none of us are as tall as we can be. Malnutrition, stress, posture, and other factors can play a role in limiting our actual height. The solution: Eat right, sit right, sleep right, stand right, and relax.
Although, as has been stated, you have a certain time during which your growth will most benefit from these factors. Once you've more or less reached your terminal height, for most of us that's at about 25 years old, you can do those things all you want and you're not going to see the same results you'd see if you'd been doing them all your life.

I'm 16 and 179cm..probably equates close to 6foot...then again, I am 16, and probably have some more growing to do, I don't see why you'd want to grow taller. Over 185-190 I'd say just elevates you to sasquatch status.

Why the fuck would you want to be that tall? I'm almost 6 ft 4 and it doesn't help with anything other than taking up more space and reaching things on higher shelfs.:eh:

But at 5 feet 4 inches, it does feel annoying to have to look up at everyone. It strains my neck a lot. I've had milk everyday of my life and stuff and eaten lots of good things. I think it has lots to do with genetics as I did have the 2 shortest siblings of their families as parents. (only one in my family that's at least a teen and not adopted that hasn't hit at least 6 ft) It's frustrating because I get pulled over in my school a lot by teachers/guards who think I'm like 13-14 or something like that when I'm in my last year already. So you should be happy you're 6 feet...

You can put traction on all your joints by hanging from a bar or using gravity boots. This could give you an inch or two in height compared to when you are normally compressed, but it is temporary and is unlikely to give you 4 inches. There are a lot of forums on the net based on heightening, but I haven't seen any very convincing arguments.
Still, they get damn creative, talkin' about hormones along with sprinting in an attempt to microfracture their tibias and then wear ankle weights while hanging their feet off the bed as they sleep, crazy stuff.
You could have an operation where they break both your legs and allow them to set slightly longer.I think I read somewhere about this being done to midgets. 'Break' almost seems like a light term for it, I heard they sawed completely through the bones and then kept them a small distance apart (not sure how much but I think maybe a decimetre or millimetre, perhaps less). Then they would allow the bone to heal in the middle, and repeat the process, probably at different locations.
It's probably not the healthiest thing, if you think about it, since they'll not hold their original shape, which probably means losses in stability.

Also, I don't particularly enjoy being 6'4 and having to tower over most of the people I come across.

I had an interesting experience.I wanted to grow too so I bought Stimulants for HGH.Well it was for bodybuilders but why not?I didn't gave a fuck. The product was expired so it was fucking cheap.I took before, after streching, and before sleep :D just for fun.I streched for a week ewery day and then rest. And on the resting day I was INSANELY hungry.I ate like a madman whole day,and I felt tired too.In the following day I grew 2cm.I was 176cm and now Iam 178.It has not changed.
I realy dont want to impress.. It just worked for me that's all.Maybe the continous streching affected my growth,or the stimulant too,I don't know.
Edit: Or maybe because I believed that it will help.
