same here; I've only seen Hans tutorial, Taegashi's I-twist to splits, but that's it. :S More would help imprint the move in brain.

They're not hard. Just work step over 360s and slowly work it to be a little more horizontal. Also, make sure you're landing on both legs at the same time.

but how good of an illusion are we talking about. was it floaty and straight legged with a good whip. and was it a standing illusion?
you dont HAVE to learn a standing btwist first. but i guarantee you that the standing btwist teaches you how to whip your hips around. i learned standing btwist before i learned illusion...made illusion so easy and floaty for me.
**edit*. maybe i'll make an illusion tutorial?? o_O

Towels....please realize that I don't hate you or anything but that is not an illusion twist... I know it's just a small difference but in order to make it an illusion twist you need to land on both feet at the same time..I hope everyone else agrees with me on this. Becuase what you did was a skip hook. Or at least that's what I call it.

mmm. Layman's terms, ilussion twist LOOKS like a fake b-kick/b-twist or summit. Like doing a pop 360 out of a b-kick set-- wait, that's already been said.

Yes you need to land both feet at the same time. Like you would land a front flip I suppose.

I call it, the "Towel Whip"
hahaha jk
Are we doing the illusion twist?

It's not much like a btwist at all. When I try btwisty illusion twists I get shuriken twists (or crashes lol). It's a lot more like a 360 outside crescent from a bkick set up.. So if you think of it as a 360 where you have to turn about 180 first and dip a bit, it's all good =)
I would say having a strong 360 crescent is more important than having the btwist.

arrite i made a tutorial. ace is gonna put it up later i think. its not that good but i think i hit some key points.
after thinking about it thoroughly and breaking it down, i've come to the conclusion that the prerequesit is actually a HYPER 360 crescent. i say this because of the difference in weight distribution. pop 360s point of origin is generally in the center. however, hyper 360's..AS WELL AS ILLUSIONS..point of origin is over the take-off leg.
another key factor is torqing up before you even take off. which will be explained in the tut. like i said, its not the best, but i hope it'll help.
