you can btwist but not illusion twist?
scoot to cresent kick.
its basicaly that from the butterfly setup with torqueing your upperbody.
your legs then just automaticely snap around.

if you can do the most evil shiat you can also pull this move.
just keep trying and dont give up :wink:

question for you trace.... it is a one footed take off right? since it comes from a [b] setup if that makes sense.... just in need of some clarification, nice tut though you got right down to the point

it sounds wishy washy but yes and no..i have explaination tho!

so..you DO take off of one foot..HOWEVER. this move FEELS like a standing pop move. youre letting your lower body sort of drag behind to get that "rubber band" effect. you should feel a pretty decent pull in your torso..

does that make any sense?

this is not a hard move to pull off.
ive been workig on it and ive almost got it, me being teh noobzor that i am right now almost got it.

Can anyone explain the weight-centering and upper body position on the Illusion? Is the upper body mostly vertical? All the jumping is from the lead leg and your weight is centered over it, correct? So you complete the b-kick dip and then raise your upper body almost vertical, twist your torso (hook punch your arms), jump off your lead leg, snap it out in a crescent while tucking your back leg? I think I'm trying this move too much as a horizontal spin and I can't get any vertical punch, so I just wanted some clarification. Also, who else thinks Illusion Twists look better when done slowly?

as far as weight goes...yea its centered over your jumping leg. not the lifting one. and you bring your chest up and complete most of the spin before you even jump..which is what gives it the "rubber band" effect..

its not supposed to be either. its right in the middle. textbook illusion twist should be at a 45 degree angle. i'm glad i could help! i didnt realize that this tutorial would be so effective. thanks for the feedback guys!
