View Full Version : At last!!!
Today I did it. I finally got my bhs down after all this fearfull and slantfull time. the temperature was only a little above zero and there was chilling wind so i was pretty stiff but i did it and now i am extremely happy, hell i even did 2 bhs in row
the tehnique majorly sucks but thats just now, i will work on that when i will have time to trick (a week off due to trip to germany :ogre: )
oh yeah..

next goal - to backhandspring over football field :D
nice! you're off to a good start ^_^ how long have you been tricking?
keep it up dude, two in a row is hard from standing and I haven't seen your connection yet so you should just keep practicing and they should get better with time. But you should throw your arms back rather than out for your aerials, at least I find that it helps with me.

nice dude ;) if you can get into the habit of getting a good rebound (with arms up, chest up) after you finish the last bh it'll help when you want to get a backtuck out of your bhs.
good luck on r/o-bhs, that's a powerful combo setup which can get you mad height later on to do a back-flipping trick out of (ie backfull or whatever). I also find it easier to do a large string of back handsprings (>3) if I do it out of a roundoff, rather than starting with a standing bhs.

Wow, that was alot better than I expected. Good work man!
Instead of doing the football field. Do a BHS backtuck
As i said today i tried ro bhs. gee i didn't expect that much momentum from roundoff - it was way easier to do bhs from rooundoff than standing. here have a look  do you think i could do a backtuck out of bhs or roundoff?

you're doing a nice job getting your arms & chest up! I don't think anything horrible would happen if you attempted a backtuck out of your ro-bhs, might land on all fours if your height isn't sufficient but that's it.
to get comfortable with the idea, try your ro, or bhs, or the combo, stop a sec after finishing, then do a standing backtuck. that could help you prepare for doing it immediately out of your setup move, as one flowing motion.
you do get lots of momentum from the r/o, it's generally easier to do a backtuck out of the r/o or r/o-bhs than just the bhs. I consider bhs-backtuck more difficult than r/o-backtuck.
nice work so far & good luck!

ohh dude yeah, you would have that no problem, thats actually how i learned my first backtuck ages ago.
just pull your arms up a little before landing and there you go
