One of my only complaints with the "Cave" trickster vids was the usual static camera angle.

Holy shit did this fix any gripes I had with you guys.

This was fantastic. Especially in HD (lol). I really enjoy the td raiz pop kicks among the other wonderful pop kicks.

The 540 gyro was wicked.

The music is Lupe Fiasco - He say She say ft Gemini & Sarah Green. I wanted to make this samp something special and really tried to be creative :D with filters and stuff. I edited it with my 1½ year old laptop which took 45 minutes to even load premiere pro. HD material takes really much off your computer. So it took about 4 hours editing, 10 hours rendering, and the compression to XVID 3½ hours. And I had to do it twice because I by accident put a 4:3 ratio in the first compression. So it means a lot if you have the patience to download this.

And of course props to my Team Unito; especially The ones who are featured in the Vid. almost 5 years, let's keep on tricking!

so what's the story behind the bomb shelter training center?

The underground bomb shelter Nääshalli was built during WWII to protect the citizens of Tampere, one of the Finland's most important industrial cities, from the bombings of Soviet Union.

Later the facility was turned into a multi-purpose sports center when the threat of commies nuking the shit out of us wasn't so great by the end of the Cold War.

Nowadays it is one of Finland's tricking Meccas as the most of the best trickers ( such as Heikki, Vellu, Henrik, Janne, Anssi etc. ) in Finland happen to live near Tampere, and it is relatively cheap to train in there and there is lots of space to trick on quality tatami flooring.

The other bomb shelter in this sampler is TTY's (or TUT as Tampere University of Technology) bomb shelter, and shares pretty much the same purpose as Nääshalli, as far as I know. It is one of those places where the elite trickers around Tampere train at, as some of them, Heikki and Henrik, are students there and have acces to the place. I have always regarded the TTY almost as a sacred place where only the few and selected get to trick at, I hope I have the chance of visiting the place in the future too.

But for the sampler, it's really amazing how you Heikki just keep getting better and better although you have been tricking for so long. Your style is truly unique and you also have some big tricks up in your sleeve too. 720 triple, b-twist - hyper c900 and the d-leg twist really stood out, but great tricks trough the whole sampler nonetheless. And the quality of the video was outstanding, the HD camera must have been a great purchase.
I hope I get to trick with you again someday.

The floor is normal martial arts mats, it is raised to it's own fenced platform just to prevent the mats from slipping all over the place when people train on it.

Janne and I are thinking about a possible HUGE road trip from Tampere to Lapland to Norway to Bergen, or possibly flipmonks gathering, if it's convenient. We were thinking of asking people from states, ff people jaime or fs people if we could organize a visit there like you crazy Norwegians did. I've yet to visit states so it would be cool, but we'll definately attend some international gathering(s) this year. It'd be so cool to hang out with you too again.

I actually always disliked tricking at TTY. Whenever we trick there the session from my part is complete shit, haha. Nääshalli ftw ^^,

Did you spot him in the video? All the non-Heikki clips were in a row, he was just before me iirc, doing a btwist - hypercork :P He doesn't trick much though, but I've made him come tricking a few times during the past few weeks, buaha. And now he broke his arm when he was snowboarding and it'll take 5 weeks or so to be back to normal, haha.

I love this sampler, i've watched it about 8 times already. I really like how you used lupe fiasco as the track, it really went well with your tricking style. I thought this sampler had a lot of personality in it and its easily my favourite sampler at the moment.

As for the tricks, I alrdy saw many of those 2 weeks back when I was in Tampere but mang, there was some suprising shit in there. Cleanest btwist-900hyper ever and the pop720triple, aerial-gms, aerial-backside900-gainer, raiz-cork round WOW and the gswitch-gswitch-gainer was so close haha. (I though recall seeing you do better 1080's than that, or maybe its just me hallucinating :3) Also, combos were armed with unlimited flow. The editing was not just one of the best, it IS the best out there (hd, the music, the whole atmospehre, color filters etc), just epic.

You're like my freaking idol so it's crazy stuff to hear that from you, I've used your tricks as an inspiration too often and tend to steal stuff from you so sorry for that :D, like your aerial-tdraiz-stuff. That's so wicked. We finns have been thinking about going to the US someday soonish, so is it possible to hook up and trick with FF and FS dudes?
