if youve seen my recent post i randomly gained 10 lbs in about 1-2 weeks time, i tried blaming it on being sick/ being on medicines but i feel like thats not a good excuse, but my question is what is the best way to go about lowering my body fat whilst still having good muscle gains during my lifts. my current weightlift schedule is mon-lift tues-run wed-lift thurs-swim fri-lift, on mon/wed/fri i start my workout with creatine and end with whey protein.

Thermodynamics arguments aside: You won't be able to do both effectively. Pick one body composition goal at a time. I recommend easing off carbs when you're trying to lose weight.

Prolonged aerobic exercise will hinder strength and muscle gains.

You don't need to do prolonged aerobic exercise to burn fat though, it can burn from shorter intense stuff from the EPEOC.

I didn't say you needed it. And you mean EPOC.

Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption, I guess I thought there'd be a second e I hate dash words. I knew it sounded wrong. Anyway you're right you didn't. I just didn't see aerobic exercise mentioned so it seemed out of the blue.

yeah i run on tuesdays and swim on thursdays, i always do some sort of cardio type excercise every day because im in ap gym at my school and all we do is work out, i also have lacrosse practice at night for 2 hours so more cardio there. i just feel like im not getting gains and im not lowering body fat, so i need to figure out how to do both kinda.

You're not going to figure out how to do both. Follow Kitosho's advice.
