You're taking a supplement you know nothing about?

You probably won't notice any effects, but that doesn't mean it isn't doing anything.

The effects are very subtle... however be careful you do not become a mouse.

Christ, its a food. Don't make it out to be a miracle.

"How many mango's do I have to eat to see the results?"

I prefer rapeseed oil or olive oil.

A heads up to people who ingest large quantities of flaxseed products:

There are few studies of flaxseed safety in humans. Flaxseed and flaxseed oil supplements do appear to be well tolerated in the available research, and there is long-standing historical use of flaxseed products without many reports of side effects. However, unripe flaxseed pods are believed to be poisonous and should not be eaten. Raw flaxseed or flaxseed plant may increase blood levels of cyanide, a toxic chemical (this effect has not been reported when flaxseed supplements are taken at recommended doses). Do not apply flaxseed or flaxseed oil to open wounds or broken skin.

The Mayo Clinic: Flaxseed and flaxseed oil (Linum usitatissimum), internet.

So that's what I've been doing wrong all these years.

Pretty horrible no? I found it quite hilarious that they added that. But on the other hand it is the US, they need a disclaimer for absolutely everything.

The Mayo Clinic is a very respected medical school and hospital.

How can you tell is a flaxseed is ripe or unripe?

I've eaten just plan flaxseeds before as well and I haven't died yet. I'm in the clear for now I guess.
