How long will one day of eating bad fuck me over for? will i see i considerable increase in weight, or notice any other changes? im ate my cousins birthday and have been eating a shit load of twizllers and just had some cake. i never usually have alot of sugar in my day, during the week i would say the only sugar i get is from juices 100% natural [orange and apple] and other fruit such as bananas and pears. some insight would help, i am also asking because i have bad skin and hi amounts of sugar affects pimple outbreaks [or with me i find]

You might be a little bloated for the next day or two but thats about it. Don't worry about it.

No, fiber won't help. Stop worrying so much--chances are you are skinny with little muscle anyways so you can use the extra calories.

You probably won't notice any difference at all, other than what anfeyd said (and maybe some extra gas).

One day of total binge eating the worst foods possible to the point just before puking it all up will have a very minor effect on you in the long run, assuming your regular diet is up to scratch.

you might feel as though you have gained weight for the next couple of days
but once you get back to your normal eating routine it will go away

You are going to die slowly. There is no way around it.

Hey, that's what you get.

You'll be fine if it's just one day within a relatively reasonable time frame.

Personally, I've had a problem with binge eating for the past couple of years, and if I give myself a day, I'll want to do it repeatedly. I've gotten a lot better at stopping myself and preventing myself from starting but I still get urges sometimes.

Basically, don't let it become a habitual thing and you'll be quite all right. :good:

^ I got over a period of disorderly obsession with eating, lots of binging and harsh control of my diet, by just yielding completely to my desire to eat and then suddenly everything was fine and continues to be so.

So are you saying that you let yourself binge for a while and eventually you just lost the desire? It seems sort of counterintuitive but I suppose it may be worth a shot. :eh:

I have been eating in an awkward manner (pizzas, hamburgers and generally sloppy food nutrition-wise) for the past week. It tasted real good. I do not have a bad conscience about it.

I'm on a similar diet for my acne problems. (The whole no sugar/no carb thing)

From what I know, it takes about 150 days for the complete effects of eating something of high sugar (sometimes high toxin) in the body. That's including the absorption of the sugar into the bloodstream and cells in the body, the use of said sugar for energizing production of certain enzymes, and the depletion of the sugar as it is used. In small quantities in most people, it's not much of a big deal.

For people like us with an acne problem, there may be a few breakouts that result (one time I ate six slices of pizza and a slice of cake, and the next day my whole forehead was broken out. D: ). It's best to get back on your diet you have been on, and you should be in time (typically a couple weeks with blemishes).

If you take fish oil, that helps, too.

Well I just ate as much as I wanted to, instead of constantly struggling to eat below what my appetite wanted, and immediately all my obsession and preoccupation with eating just vanished and I stopped being a pussy.

You make it sound like anyone who is subjected to acne is going to look like a red cratered warzone if they eat a snickers or a hamburger.

haha Awright. I just need to work on altering my body to suit my appetite rather than attempting the opposite. It's all so simple now.

Thanks!!! :good:

Well, not really. I really only said a few blemishes can occur, and then talked about my extreme case (though that may not have been a good idea, seeing your response).

My example actually came from when I was eating ninety-percent carbs before I started my no carb/no sugar diet. So it might not have been the best example, ahaha...

But the 150 day thing really applies to most of the food consumption of the body. Not merely including digestion, but the use of the enzymes, carbs, proteins, and fats that the body absorbs. Just focused on the carbs in my response, sorry.

Too bad about no carbs, I do like them. Prepared to live like that for the rest of your life then, mate?

There's really only three items I feel like I couldn't get out of my diet forever, but otherwise yes.

(Potatoes, rice, and tapioca bubbles I eat rarely now, but I love them a lot. D: )

Have you tried medicating it? Accutane and such? I just feel that it is a shame you have to live one way for the rest of your life because of a nuisance such as acne.

Medication didn't work for me; I feel better off it. And Acutane? I feel like I've talked about before.

Seeing as though I'm a girl, I think I'd rather have a specific diet for the rest of my life than deplete the folic acid in my body to a point where I can never have children, even while on a supplement for folic acid.

The depletion of folic acid is one of many unwanted side effects of Acutane, not to mention depression and suicidal tendencies. And I have a pretty lively range of emotions as is; I don't need that. Ahaha.

A related question would be: if I have the option to eat shit food for a meal, or skip the one meal, which is preferable? I'm guessing it would depend on how big a meal / how many meals per day I eat, and how bad the food we're talking about is.

So let's make it a McDonalds meal, quarter pounder with fries, taking up one out of three meals in a day. Would it be better to eat the food or skip it and wait until better food is available?

I don't know if you messed with benzoyl peroxide before I use this twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed, followed by a moisturizer.

I was still having severe acne problems when I only used it once a day but once I doubled up and was consistent with it I haven't any major problems.

People might refuse medication because it didn't work but HOW you use it makes a big difference. It took a lot of experimentation on my part to learn that. If you've already given this a go then I guess ignore it. I just know I've had years of acne issues and it's only until more recently I finally found a way that works for me.

I don't even screw around with my diet in hopes of it helping my acne, though I try to eat healthy for the most part.

After reading this whole thing, I don't really feel bad about finishing off $10 of made to order Chinese food. I actually didn't feel bad while eating it either. It was oily, fatty, and delicious. Once every few months these cravings hit the spot.

I don't think that can really be answered based on science/nutrition. There would be equal arguments for and against the meal.
In the end it will depend on the individual and their opinions/priorities on nutrition. Personally I would skip the meal, simply because I haven't eaten Mcdonalds for 4-5 years, and my word is more important than one meal.

Nah, some people have the problem some don't what you eat really does have a large impact on acne. I know people who eat all sorts of nasty shit and they look completely fine. I haven't not had a zit on my face since Jr. High haha. I took medication but it made me vomit and fall asleep sometimes so...

The only way I've been able to stay clear for the most part is a healthy diet and acne skin meds and over night spot reduction cream stuffz.
