Well guys, my problem is that I canīt get my legs over my head level. I try to look to the ground, but there's no improvement. Thank you.

Sorry for the other stuff...

They look fine to me

If you're really that concerned about inversion, dip your body more and treat it more like an aerial

if you want to get inverted, dont use a cheat setup. kick your leg back and around, almost like an aerial, like DaveC said.

raiz is a really hard move to learn, not because the actual trick is difficult, but because its a really hard to explain, and on top of that it feels weird

Yeah man they look pretty alright, probably a big tip is find out where your head is looking...Another thing that could help is your taking off just that split second too early...So wind up, plant your foot into the ground and keep watching your foot, as you start to go over that foot lean back whilst arching your back then try and kick that leading leg back as if you are trying to do a backsault or some shit...Remember where your looking...So from looking at your foot, your going to whip your head back so that your looking at the ceiling/ sky:wink:pretty much...Then let that leading leg take you straight over...To summarise all the bullshit I just wrote pretty much pretend that your going to do a backflask type thing out of that setup...Hope this helps you in some way, I know that after I started doing this my raiz's were like BAAAAM! Nice and heigh and swinging through just easy as...:wicked:

That Raiz is by no means fine, sorry to say.
It's not bad though, it's pretty close.

Here's something to do for a solid inverted/good-looking/ummm, right Raiz. Stop thinking of it as a side to side move, because it's not. It's a going backwards move. "Skilzat skilzat why does it look like a side to side move then?" Because you pivot while setting up for it and turn your entire body during this time, and you swing your arms sideways while doing it.

So what to do? Do everything you're doing now in terms of setup and swinging and all that, but instead of trying to turn over sideways, yeno like a 540 or a C720 or any other sideways spinning move, think of going back, like a Flash Kick/Whip Back/Pick your Choice. This will create the "true" (sorry for sounding elitist) sort of Raiz that Capoeiristas and others meant it to be you see.

Thinking of it like an Aerial, as others have said before, helps too. Because in an Aerial you also sorta "flip" over (depends, some Aerials flip, and some just invert, doesn't matter they all work off the same principle), instead of turning side to side on your spinning axis. I usually recommend thinking of a high stretched (arched) back flip instead of an Aerial because most people are looking to get one of those high floaty Raizes over the low quick ones. I think the Whip Back-esque approach might work better for you because you already setup with your body really high, and it's just begging to FLOAT into the sky haha.

You may be like "what the nigg skilz that can't be right it might just turn into a whippy arching back flip", but if you really think that I suggest you go out and try it and take a look at the results.

One piece of advice though: Always arch your head backwards, but never pull your back/body backwards/downwards. You're already arching your head and not pulling your body downwards, but I just want you to know that treating it like a Flash Kick or arched Back Flip does not mean you pull yourself backwards with your upper body.

My raiz's look like that to, unfortunately. Thanks for the tips skilzat, I'll be sure to work on them.
