sideswipe attempt

this is my 3rd attempt of a sideswipe. any advice to make it better? thanks :wicked:

The first part of the move looked promising, but the last part could use some improvement.

You are doing an inside crescent kick now; try doing more of a round kick. That way you automatically will kick more over your head instead of sideways.

What you showed in that video looks like a good basis, just work from that and try different things till you are satisfied with the results, good luck:good:

i do. it looks better. it also helps you get inverted, because you are kicking diagonally over your head (if you do it correctly of course)

i do most of my kicks as a round actually, front crecents dont have the power that a roundhouse does, and i like my kicks to look fierce

Don't use a round kick in sideswipes.

Don't use any of the basic kicks in a Sideswipe because a Sideswipe is a swiping kick ahaha. There aren't any traditional martial arts kicks designed to come sweeping around down to the ground whilst your upside down in mid-air. Just swipe it, don't think about it.

It is almost physically impossible to do recreate these motions in the middle of a Sideswipe.

skillz- thats not what i meant as a round kick. i dont mean fully turning your hips over, i meant more along the lines of a diagonal kick, where your foot is facing forward in the plane of the kick.
