How? How in the world am i supposed to chamber my non kicking leg during a 360/whatever? Should i just force myself, or how?

Kicks look a lot sexier, and i figure hypering might come easier, so can someone help me out please?

basically ye, just bend it and bring it up. like your tucking in one leg for a backtuck without usin your hands. i hope that explanation doesnt confuse you further haha

bend yo leg

This sounds like an excellent way of doing it :).
Anyway, it's not easier to hyper it with your nonkicking leg bent.

Yeah it is.

Not for me haha.
I tried bending my leg, but then i chamber my kicking leg aswell haha :agony:

haha then jump up and do it when you're in the air instead of trying to bend it right away

You're shit then, how isn't it easier if the kicking leg lands a good second before the other?

You just lost me haha, how does the time before the non kicking leg touches the ground have anything to do with if it's bent or not? :agony:

i tuck it somewhat in like i am doing quad stretch

I feel it would be easier if i had only one leg that i kick with, and the other one is more out of the way. It sounds more logical. Oh well, we'll have to wait and see haha.

Well if i land on both legs in a 360, then chambering would make a proper hyper. I don't know haha.

It would be more like "this still aint easy but it's easier!"

*lands hyper stuff* haha

Dude, if you're having trouble with your hyper 360 it's not because of the non kicking leg being straight, it's probably because of you lacking height. It's like it's in the way haha, and you can lift it after the kick when you're dropping, if you don't want it to touch the ground. I usually just point my non kicking leg at the "target".

360 with both legs straight = landing on both legs at the same time because they're the same length

360 with non kicking leg chambered = landing on kicking leg first as the non kicking leg is chambered

The prime reason i want to chamber my non kicking leg is because it looks a lot better in my opinion.

The chambering part only came to my mind secondly haha.

Not really haha, it really depends on where the non kicking leg is.

what the fuck are you talking about man

you'd land like this if you were kicking with your right leg

there's no way you'd be able to keep your spine/upperbody upright if you had your legs like that

tuareg
Mar-12-08, 10:34 AM
Well basically, if the non kicking leg is out of the way but still straight, it creates the same effect as if it was chambered haha.

Old footage, my kicks were pretty shitty back then. I'm just too lazy to reboot and shift to Vista to edit my footage.
@ Tuareg - Yeah basically it does haha.

Not at all, it's all about balance, if you bring your knee to your chest and your heel on your ass (the non kicking leg) then you'll be balanced during the kick, if you keep both straight you're going to have to lean back a hell of a lot which essentially makes it another move.

I meant it's just as easy to hyper with a straight out non kicking leg than it is with a chambered one. Or at least it should be haha. There are differences technique wise, wich is obvious of course.

but chambering the leg gives the illusion that you are getting more height, which in turn makes the trick look better. you CAN keep it straight, but it will look really low and actually does throw your balance off a little, you can see it in those vids posted

Nah, that's just me. My 360's with the leg bent are just as much off balance (Even though I can't see where I'm off balance lolol).
Also. My 360 is better now :agony: just so you know

i didnt mean anything bad, im just saying while they can be done with a straight leg, imo they look better chambered

I didn't take offence at all man . I was just saying that it's not because of the straight leg thing, but because of my skill haha :D.

Whats so hard about bending your leg...unless you are disabled in a way that makes your leg lock out uncontrollably.

Haha, i tried it and it worked. Kinda weird, it threw me off balance, but it's cool haha.

I don't know how it works above head level, but i did get it chambered while throwing the kick at head level. It was strange when itried it a couple of months back, never did it since then so i thought it'd be harder haha :D
