OK first i wanna ask if i should be doing this off my aerial side/spinning side or my off side? (btw my best punch side is over my right shoulder, the side i d-leg over, oppisite my aerial...)
So when i try it on my aerial side i just do a really bad aerial. Then if i try it on the other side i do a scrunched d-leg... Anyone got a tips they can share with me plz. Thanx

do whatever side feels comfortable, its good to know how to do it both ways anyway. i do them mostly with my left side facing forward, because i round off that way.

but if you do learn them on your other side, remember to keep good form on your double legs. once i started doing sideflips on my other side, my double legs turned into this weird sideflip round off thing, and i still get a little too inverted on them.

you dont want to torque like you do for a double leg, just get a little jog going, turn/hop to the side, and jump UP, and tuck your legs in. your forward momentum will flip you around, dont try and force the rotation

yeah i think of all things im trying to force the rotation due to fear, i think tomorrow ill set up the crash pads and try to flow through it and not force it. thanx for the advice

In your aerial direction you should actually be doing tucked aerials; whereas in your double leg direction, which should be opposite your aerial direction, you should be doing tucked double legs.

Does this make sense?

basically if i punch right foot forwards i go over into a d-leg, and if i punch left leg forward i go into a bad aerial...

I understood the first time, and my response remains the same. The first way you mentioned is a tuck double leg, which is exactly how you should be doing it on that side, and the second way is a normal sideflip from an aerial setup, just needs work.

Video would be great, though.

i had a problem with side flip ...i was trying to learn it but when i jumped i did double leg and not side flip .......side flip is the last tricking basic that i need to learn and i've seen tons of tutorials and still dont understand the movement ......

but i learned Dleg at least .....
