Exactly. Just step over for more power. That rhymed.
Also, bring your arms closer to your upper body. And you can try chambering the kick, will make it look more powerful I guess.

DIG and JUMP.
DIG AND JUMP.
Do not keep drilling that same technique over again, cause then you'll just screw yourself haha.
Learn to DIG AND JUMP, learn to turn all the way to your target, ditch the crescent setup, use the regular step in setup, make sure you dig, make sure you jump, try to chamber as much as possible, kick hard, pull into the landing...
After you do all that, then drill drill drill etc etc etc.

P.S. K-Slash: It is now 2008 the year of our Lord. I plan on eating a sandwich tomorrow at 3 o'clock pm. By my calculations that is 19 hours from now. My summer plans include fishing with Pops, and several unnecessary surgeries.
SOLVE FOR X.

i just added that cause I think the last 5 threads I made he made a comment on the first page asking if I did, funny how he thinks that "my goal" = "my promise to all of you on TT"

Your body made a promise to me last night.
That's actually a quote from a slam pig that got all clingy on me, and me and my friends still quote her all the time. Inside jokes. Use them wisely.
I think you're better off getting cool tumbling combos, then going for large skills on hard surfaces that could easily end your tricking career.

Are you refering to the 540 as being a 'large skill' and to grass as a 'hard surface'? Or maybe I missed something but 540 is basic and not really hard to get I think, and grass is pretty safe to practice kicking moves such as 540 especially in comparison with tumbling moves. :O But I might have missed something your talking about lol

You're better off without that crescent kick setup, it doesn't give you any momentum it seems. Try doing a cross step thing or even an outside crescent?
Why don't you bend your knees before you jump more? Isn't bending your knees standard for jumping........................................... ............
Try it without shoes, it'll be easier
