I really need help with my cheat 720

Ill post a video as soon as a get a recent 720 / 1080 recorded, like tomorrow or someday this week, ill also update this thread when I've some sessions and train 720 / 1080.
Now for my problem.

I've already "kinda" sorting out what the problem is, but im not sure, and asking for tips is not wrong :) Well, i seem to slant and layback in the cheat720, just to get the hook high. My 1080 is never slanted, but i twist to fast and i dont get the hook that high. I tried to do a 1080 after a btwist, but i almost hypered it because of my spin. Imo its easier to 1080 then 720. I have just recently started to work on my kicks, so its not that i've trained em for a long time. That might be the main reason why i aint that good. Yesterday I was doing basickicks for almost an hour [Hooks, 540, c9]. My c9 is pretty OK, i spot the target and such. But its seems that i cant do any good kicks, when the kicking leg is the left leg.

Well you dont have to answer before i've posted the vid, but its pretty much up to you guys.

Well i can't help much without the video, but the main thing that helps for getting a high kick is the placement of your head, if you look low you are going to kick low. So make sure when you come out of the spin your head is nice and high. I will give more specific advice when you post a video.

think of a cheat720 as a simple stepover hook from a "cheat" setup. so jump high in the air like you were gonna do a really high tornado kick then instead do a stepover hook. should stop the laying back problem.

1080s you just gotta do the thing as fast as you can so there's enough hang time at the end to get the kick out. this just takes a LOT of practice haha. but keep it up, you'll def get it eventually. :good:

few things:

Learning one move over the other isn't usually the way you wanna go. especially if one is a prereq for another, if your having issues with a cheat 7, then dont do the cheat 10. if you just drill cheat 10 all day long then your gonna have an awesome cheat 10 but in the same time you could have learned a cheat 7, 9 and be close to 10 by that point. thats like skipping back tuck before full. its not very impressive when someone can double btwist all day long and have issues with a hypertwist. So my advice, is to get a solid cheat 7, then learn to turn it over to a 9, and then practice turning the 9 over to a 10. It works, trust me.

cheat 720 hook-If your slanting and having issues that way, maybe try doing a slightly lower kick but pulling your chest forward as you do it to keep you more vertical. Then when you get used to it, start kicking higher and higher.

cheat 10-I'll post advice on that when you get the 9.

Yes I do my friend, its all about set, just like a 540 kick. to do a clean 540 kick where you dont have your knee fall off, you have to set it with enough time to spin out a little before you land. when i was learning a 540 kick , i did a tornado kick and did a half gyro before i landed to get the spin down. then just full on hypered the kick to one leg, thats also how i learned my cheat 9 hyper. do a cheat 9 with plenty of time and then half gyro onto both feet. that'd be the SAFEST way to do it. but most people hurt themselves cause they dont have enough time and force a landing, be carefull with inside hypers my friend. we need not loose waterboy. you got it, i saw them 9s at NYG! lemme know how it goes bro!
