I didn't record it because I don't have a video camera but I may have done it wrong. I did the 180 takeoff and threw a massive outside crescent kick.... did I just post this for nothing?
Edit: Nevermind. I did both!!!

yes!!!! Congrats to your achievement, my friend. ^^
Well, to be honest it's awesome to see more people learning new tricks, however, as I've seen happen before, peeps here tend to look for another reason to read threads like these. Since you dun have a cam, p'raps a discussion on the technicals on the 360 could be done, but, threads like those have been done a lot. I'm sure you can think of summit, matey ^^
But it's awesome that you got your first trick, son! Kudos and good luck to your training!

Outside crescent- I took one step with my right and started turning. Then I took another step to complete the 180, threw my arms up as I jumped while turning right. Lol and as I'm doing that I jerked the right side of my body right and quickly picking my right leg up for the kick right as I jump. As I thrust my kick in the arc, I had enough momentum to bring me back to the direction I was facing and landed^_^.
Inside kick- this time I took a left step first and ended jumping off of my right leg, also using it to kick. I basically did the same as the outside, but my take off was more like the 540 take off and my crescent kick was on the inside. Also on my outside take off I jumped with 2 feet while the inside I did with only one1.

Based off of my explantation can you deduct anything?
And thanks coty. After I master this I am going for the 540, then the doubleg, then the arial, then the btwist, and finally the back/front flips.

Sorry but you are still a newb.
He isn't a "n00b", though. Don't you know the difference?
By the way, well done! I remember when I landed my first 360s, I was ridiculously stoked!
Come on guys, we can't be the only ones who were excited, admit it!
My first trick was a sideflip, then a kip-up.
For some reason i was more stoked about landing my kip-up, I celebrated by myself and ran around my yard.

I wasn't so stoked about the 360 when I first landed it (my only prob is I get no friggen air!!!!). The trick I was most stoked about landing was the 540, the kip-up, or the aerial. Probably the aerial, because i still can't really land it; it's the hardest for me (aside from back-flip).
But keep kicking, duuuuuuud!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mar-24-08, 07:08 AM
I appreciate the support everyone. Lol I just got done from training today(trying to 540) and pulled my hamtaro string dammit. It was worth it though^_^. Can someone explain what a kip up is?
Sudrunk Monkey
Mar-24-08, 07:14 AM
a Kip up is this:
a push-kick invert trick. Here are my two things to think about, plus some steps:
1. roll back onto shoulders
2. Coil body
3. SPRING!! Kick UP and push UP!
4. tuck legs
5. Do a CA4.
arms: PUUUUUSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
legs: KICK UPPPPP and TUCK!!!!
That's it. You can train for it by doing... wassit called, wrestler's bridge? the crab? It's where you invert your body; it's a stretch. You stick your belly in the air and, in a sense, try to get your head to touch the back of your heels (though the aim is to stick your belly up, up, up into the air).
I kept practicing it, and I can do kip-up's easy. Even no-handed kip-ups! ^_~

Wow that's pretty sick. And this was the first trick you ever pulled off?
Hey even though I pulled a hamstring do you think it would be ok to go train with the other leg or should I just rest? I really want to go back out there but I don't wanna injure myself even more
Mr.Parafuso
Mar-24-08, 07:26 AM
no young one..you should rest*tucks him in and kisses him goodnight*

Mar-24-08, 07:34 AM
definately. Like, I can't do any tricking cause my back is being a total jack-arse. So, no tricking.
Tho that doesn't stop me from doing martial arts, hehehe... ^^

Mar-24-08, 08:04 AM
Dammit.... how frustrating. Well there must be something I can do. Its only 8 in the morning over here so I guess I'll just work my upper body out. Its so tempting though. Oh and is a hyper 360 an outside version of the regular 360 kick? If so then that was my first trick. I can do 4 verrrrry basic tricks now! Yayyyy!

I wish there was a ninjitsu dojo around here.... hoestly I love staffs but I can barely use one to save my life... but I did a back handspring today instead! About 5 minutes ago! Yes!

you wanna do tricks at the PEAK of your condition, I say. Doing it after something strenuous depletes you of a lot of energy and you can't do the trick to its full potential.
Tho rest DOES help to alleviate that... ^^
