Ok i worked on a cork today for awhile and i almost can land em, but i do a very mini j-step. It's basically i have my right leg back then i turn slightly to the left and kick my right leg up and twist... i get high and the only stoppin me from landing is reppin it(wasnt able to keep it up long after 2 straight days of working and training)
But my question is, is my setup being so short uncommmon??? I've seen the reg J-step and also the spinning setup. is there anyone else who does the same setup?

i kinda do the same thing. it feels weird taking a couple steps before i j-step, what i do is start with my left leg forward, then i do a little foot shuffle in place, where my right foot is infront, then i hop sideways onto my left and let it rip

i can't j-step yet.. my flexibility isn't so great on my right leg so when i kick up i go up
i get like 20 feet of height and no rotation... the spinning set-up sorta helps with rotation for me because i got height..

i dont think flexability is the problem. im pretty flexible and i suck at j-steps. its really awkward getting the timing right and how to redirect all the momentum. hopefully in time i wont be so full of suck
