so usually i trick barefoot but occasionally when i do bboy stuff i like to have shoes on, because moves like flares can be pretty rough on your feet if you are doing them barefoot lol.
however my cheap sneakers died a couple of days ago so i'm looking for new shoes to trick in.
i'm looking for advice on what shoes to buy. things i'm looking for:

good grip (i don't like slipping haha) - especially on concrete and stuff;
durability, on my other shoes the connection between the soles and the rest of the shoes was pretty much completely gone, because of all the slanted landings the shoe was pretty much broken in half;
and most important: they have to be as light as possible

i'm looking for something preferably under 100 euros
sooooo if ppl that have experience with shoe-tricking (SKILZ!! :beard:) can give me advice that would be great :smile::wise::flesh:

Feiyues:

-Excellent grip
-Durability isn't so good but the shoes are so cheap that you can buy a couple of pairs to spare
-Light as hell and feel like your walking on clouds.

kinda funny because i was reading some old threads on tricking shoes and doing so got me looking into feiyues at the same time you posted this.
they seem like good shoes to me. pretty cheap as well. i might check that out :smile:

Converse all stars but they don't have very good grip and are an average weighted shoe. Good for busting tricks when you're on the go or bumming around with friends.

These shoes all look like shit!

If you want some relatively mainstream looking shoes, you should go for K-swiss. Lightness and durability are really important to me too in a shoe, but you want something that looks good too.

Feiyues are your best bet. I wear mine almost every day. They don't look too bad, and they're really cheap. Probably the biggest advantage (if not the only) that they have over the K-Swiss. But yeah, I trick on concrete all the time in feiyues...or chucks. haha.

dude, if your training hard enough, you should be able to at least bust out your basic shit in any shoe, i mean look at bboys. some of them are wearing fuckin tims.

but still, I personally like some low profile nike dunks. light weight, stylish, and you can do more than just trick in them

chucks all day, like sum1 said earlier its nice to just be walking down the street and just kick a stop sign or sumthing

lol i can

but like i said it wears the shoes down pretty quickly, especially with flips.

thanks for the replies so far everyone. :smile:

People talk about shoes for concrete... you're wearing them for your joints? Just curious since I'd be surprised if that sort of carefulness was mainstream haha.

I've had feiyues for quite a while. Horrible for running, but light as a feather. :D

I found feiyues to be good lifting shoes also

Evisu makes some pretty slick looking shoes that look easily trickable.
