I can Btwist Cork, yet I struggle with a clean btwist gflash.

Same goes for all my S/T's

I don't know how to fix it, but every time I go to swing It feels more natural to twist up and look at the ground almost.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm sure people have that problem, but I'm not one of them

Misc.

Well the CORK is generally looked as either an "opener" [something that is used in the beginning of a combo], or a "finisher" [something that is used to end a combo]. Advanced trickers can apply the CORK whenever, but it is usually telegraphed by techniques that commonly lead into swingthrus [BT, R, tornado, etc.].

Few trickers use the CORK without telegraphing that they're gonna use it.

"had," on both sides after a while actually haha. But my problem was different, my problem was literal INABILITY to do straight gainer, ALWAYS twist (literally on accident.) Is this what you're talking about or do you just feel like corks are easier to do?

I used to have this problem some years ago. It may sound obvious, but you could try force you to look back, and not to your shoulder. Furthemore, swing BOTH arms with the same force, or you will prone to do a slanted gainer (and then twist) . So think in terms of standing flashkick. Hope i helped you...at least it worked to me.

And wtf, you are so good, so you probably will fix it in just one session :wicked:

Thanks for the help man , it's a fucking retarded problem. I will be able to double cork from stuff before i can gainer flash :dead:. I am going to dedicate a session to it soon!

Almost any s/t my body will want to instinctively twist instead of go straight back haha.

Thinking of a pop flash seems like itll work. thanks!

I will fix your problem, guaranteed. The problem is that you have lost touch with your back tuck, or more specifically- your gainer back tuck (if you had one!) a lot of people start with gainer flash, or slant gainer flash, then move to cork. Never a problem. I learned twice as many moves as everyone else and so I forgot how to do gainer back tuck for a while, go figure. Here's EXACTLY what to do to return to your gainer NON-twist:

Pick an easier move for you, that ALWAYS makes you cork when you swingthru. Btwist, raiz, whatever (for me, scoot was my telltale accidental cork). Do this move by itself as though you were going to swingthru and then stop entirely instead of kicking that leg into a gainer. Stand there for a minute. Then do standing tuck.

Then: make this into a combination; start with (scoot) and do pop backflip (i.e. land one foot at a time, timing the takeoff of the second move as soon as the second foot lands from the first move)

** also practice standing/ pivot/ slingshot gainer tuck on its own! **

Next: practice landing move 1 leg (as for swingthru) & stop. Wait a minute then plant it & do standing tuck. If you're able to, DON'T plant it & do standing gainer tuck.

Last: make this move into a swingthru (for me, scoot +back tuck). Once you can do the swingthru tuck, flash OUT from there, & repeat until comfortable to do regular swingthru flash as though you never had the problem in the first place.

Now, the tricky part will come from how bad your problem is to begin with! Mine was REALLY bad so I had to do this for a long ass time, not just 1 session we're talkin weeks. Daily sessions. If you twist on accident it starts all over, so before you advance a stage be damn sure you've got the feeling down of the back tuck. If you feel anything other than the ease of blinking when you go for the tuck you may accidentally twist (if your problem is as bad as mine was.) This WILL work, you just gotta be really careful & work at it. It is a retarded problem to have, but you can't be the man with only corks!

Flowers, stop twisting so much. If your gflashes are turning into corks more often than not, then you need to do more gflashes.

Yay!
