Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a threat about how to successfully weightlift, gain mass, tone up, supplaments, etc...

With the experiance that i have gained over the years, weightlifting, Im just going to keep it breif, and put my two cents in, and then everyone else that would like to help out, could help out as well.

so,
first of all, if your trying to build muscel, you need to work you muscels, HARD. No supplament is a miracle Supplament and results are reached through HARD WORK, Lift until you feel the burn.

Never target the same muscel groups two days in a row (allow 24 hours of rest to your body, this allows your muscels to grow effectively.

Never limit yourself to 2/3/4/5 workouts your used to doing, while lifting, always target what you wantever muscels you want to target, but always mix up your workouts. For example: Your trying to build your chest. Dont just do benchpress, use dumbells, do incline bench, decline bench, etc...

You are tryin to build your bicepts. Dont just do standing curls, do sitting curls, hammer curls, pull ups, push up, etc... (i kno it targets the chest, and tricepts more than bicepts)

Also, burning out once in a while is very helpful as well. For example: if you curl 25lbs 3x 10. Curl it until your muscels are worn out, and then curl 20lbs, and 15 lbs, and 10lbs, etc... (some ppl just go straight down to 15/10 lbs but i like to work my way down to that 'burnout' weight.

Burnouts are good while doing benchpress as well.

Drink lots of water! Water is very important. I drink at least 2 liters of water a day and i still feel like its not enough...

Eat lots of protien foods, lay off all the Shit food, eat wheat and grain bread, tuna, steaks, chicken, turkey, (Redmeats), pasta is good if ur trying to gain weight, take vitamins, and eat nuts lol.

Supplament that I found helpful, The BASCIS.
Whey/ Protein. Bars. Shakes.
Weightgainer. To those of you who are tryin to gain weight.
Creatine. Is great, and it works, it helps your muscels heal. (drinks lots of water when taking creatine).

Always read about what ur putting in to your body.

I Know for some of you it seems like i stated the obvious, but i think this might be helpful for some of the beginners.

I appriciate those of you who add on to this, and try to help out.

Cheers.:dead:

With the experience that I have gained over the years weightlifting I'm just going to keep it brief.

Good correction Night Hunter.

To the original poster, you might want to consider using spell checker haha, I have to do that because I'm pretty poor at spelling. But it's worth spending a bit extra time, so people can actually understand you.

Although he is only trying to help, it is doing exactly the opposite, say some beginner reads this little write up then learns everything wrong. It's always easier to learn the right way at first and not have to relearn the hard way. People insulting him are merely trying to help the beginners.

The fact that "Guid" "muscels" "supplaments" "expariance", etc etc etc all do not exist for those words are not found in the English language, therefore it cannot be factual correct.

Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a threat about how to successfully weightlift, gain mass, tone up, supplaments, etc...

it's been done

With the experiance that i have gained over the years, weightlifting, Im just going to keep it breif, and put my two cents in, and then everyone else that would like to help out, could help out as well.

more like two pesos HA HA HA

so,
first of all, if your trying to build muscel, you need to work you muscels, HARD. No supplament is a miracle Supplament and results are reached through HARD WORK, Lift until you feel the burn.

no one, especially a beginner, will learn anything from this statement

Never target the same muscel groups two days in a row (allow 24 hours of rest to your body, this allows your muscels to grow effectively.

this doesn't explain anything and isn't always applicable anyways

Never limit yourself to 2/3/4/5 workouts your used to doing, while lifting, always target what you wantever muscels you want to target, but always mix up your workouts. For example: Your trying to build your chest. Dont just do benchpress, use dumbells, do incline bench, decline bench, etc...

again this didn't actually teach me anything ABOUT WEIGHTLIFTING

You are tryin to build your bicepts. Dont just do standing curls, do sitting curls, hammer curls, pull ups, push up, etc... (i kno it targets the chest, and tricepts more than bicepts)

see above

Also, burning out once in a while is very helpful as well. For example: if you curl 25lbs 3x 10. Curl it until your muscels are worn out, and then curl 20lbs, and 15 lbs, and 10lbs, etc... (some ppl just go straight down to 15/10 lbs but i like to work my way down to that 'burnout' weight.

this not only doesn't teach anything about weightlifting but it also doesn't explain % intensity which is a fundamental concept to organizing a training program

Burnouts are good while doing benchpress as well.

thanks for the tip dog

Drink lots of water! Water is very important. I drink at least 2 liters of water a day and i still feel like its not enough...

Eat lots of protien foods, lay off all the Shit food, eat wheat and grain bread, tuna, steaks, chicken, turkey, (Redmeats), pasta is good if ur trying to gain weight, take vitamins, and eat nuts lol.

not only is this NOT about weightlifting at all, but it's a piss poor guide to nutrition as well

Supplament that I found helpful, The BASCIS.
Whey/ Protein. Bars. Shakes.
Weightgainer. To those of you who are tryin to gain weight.
Creatine. Is great, and it works, it helps your muscels heal. (drinks lots of water when taking creatine).

again, not about weightlifting, and it's a horrible explanation of supplementation

Always read about what ur putting in to your body.

this is one of the only things in this post that could even approximate "good advice"

I Know for some of you it seems like i stated the obvious, but i think this might be helpful for some of the beginners.

I appriciate those of you who add on to this, and try to help out.

Cheers.:dead:

you should not be writing guides to anything

here is what a good outline of beginning weightlifting would look like:

- an exposition regarding goal setting and training with purpose
- a guide to basic multi-joint barbell and dumbell exercises, with demonstrations of form, covering all the major movement groups of the body: vertical push and pull, horizontal push and pull, hip flexion and extension, and squatting
- an explanation of intensity as it relates to training adaptation and the predetermined goals
- a brief summary of micro and macro cycling - not overly detailed but enough to drive home the lesson of variety
- links to sites with information regarding training and exercise performance, like exrx.net
