Ok i was reading Dogen's website on the titanium ankle thing...are his theories correct? I just want to know because my friend has kankles and was wondering if he could develop titanuim kankles because hes kinda fat.

so you suggest having weak ankles i suppose? im not saying dogen is an expert on the subject, but having stronger ankles can only benefit you

Dogens titanium ankles tutorials suggest having strong ankles is good for tricking, this is true. But he seems to lack the knowledge to attain them. Rotating ankles and whatnot can only do so much.

Very well, if it can only do so much, can you offer any other equal/better excercises? ive actually been thinking bout starting to do this, any additional info etc would be great

dogens video is fantastic for someone of poor ankle strength/someone who has just started tricking/high impact physical activity.

for those landing double backs on grass, or anyone tricking on concrete, you're level should be very much greater than the level in the video.

basically, if you're weak/unfit and you've just started tricking. you'll be better off doing the exercises.

Titanium ankles was a collection of exercises and ideas on how to exercise ankle muscles. They do work, but they do lack some component of progression, which you can get by weighting your body or using more volume I guess. I always saw it has more of a rehab/prehab kind of thing, seeing as how it was meant to be coupled with tricking which would be like plyometric ankle staiblization, leaving little 'power' work left to do, so to just go through the motions to keep circulation and flexibility.

I just want to know because my friend has kankles and was wondering if he could develop titanuim kankles because hes kinda fat.He can make his ankles stronger, his fat is like wearing a weighted vest or something. However, the fat will still probably limit his ankles to being comparatively weak, he can always be stronger relative to his ankles by losing fat.
