ok well.
I'd quite like to put on maybe 10lbs of muscle in the next 2 months.. Ideally.
I've just bought 5kgs of whey
and i train 3 times a week,
back/biceps
chest/shoulders/triceps
legs/abs
basically when i finish uni in about 3 weeks, untill i go on holiday 6 weeks after that, i'm going to be doing nothing but working, eating and training.
is there anything i can buy, or DO to put on as much fucking muscle as possible?
also do you think this goal is possible?
thanks guize

haha fuck. that sounds HELLA skinny. 2 months is pushin it. how much do you eat? whats your diet? fuck man haha..i dont think thats enough time. then again..i'm not an expert.
it took me like..2 years to gain 20-30 lbs of muscle. i'm not sure how anyone else is. maybe i just suck hahah..i mean i was 5'9" 120lbs with a high metabolism..so i suppose i was somewhat similar..but i'm pretty sure its gonna take longer than 2 months.

Okay here is the plan, eat 5000 calories a day so that you put on around 20lbs over the course of those two months... Inject yourself with 500mg of anabolic steroids every other day, right after your daily 3 servings of creatine and glutamine peptides to help with recovery. Make sure you're taking in around 450 grams of protein daily, and lifting weights with a high volume/high intensity program (15 sets per bodypart, all max weight for 6-12 reps), and get at least 10 hours of sleep each night.
Then you might be able to pull off adding 10lbs of muscle in two months.
Good luck buddy!

Do 20 rep squats 3 times a week with your 10RM. Do other compounds with a high volume high intensity. Drink a gallon of whole milk every second youre alive.

This made me giggle, which is good cause I'm bored as hell sitting in the DMV. :(
You will not put on 10 pounds or 4,5 kilograms of muscle in two months. Set a new goal, this is not something to argue about.

If you're super efficient & lucky you could gain 1lb per week. Or you could just continue to aim high & show us the outcome after the two months are up. 3-6lbs is more realistic though.

10lbs isn't that far fetched guys. It won't all be muscle (obviously), but it's definitely achievable.
It's only 1.25lbs per week, which could be done.

I went from 138lbs to 154lbs in 8 weeks, I'm sure you can too. Although what I put on wasn't entirely muscle, I'm sure at your weight (and I know at mine too) you could probably use a bit of fat on you anyway.
For my first 5 weeks I benched, deadlifted, handstands, chin ups, and a few isolation exercises. A good 3500 calories a day will serve you well.
I got a ligament injury thing in the back of both my legs after that, but now that I'm fine, deadlifts will be in there again. Well, to say that, they already are =]

Skippy FTW!...I remember going from 8.12stone(113lbs) to 10.2stone(142lbs) in the first 4weeks of my training...Obviously not all of it was muscle & I'm pretty sure I had a growth spurt,I was amazed myself.

Did you use creatine? When i started creatine i gained like 11 pounds in two weeks and my waist shrinked.
To Spiral:
I think 10lbs of real muscle is not impossible if you eat and train hard. But i think tricker should concentrate to strength training rather than muscle mass building.
I think it would be good idea to set yourself more goals than just 10lbs. Maybe you want to increase your bench and squat 20 per cent? Or your vert?
Inform us how you progress.
Good luck.
10 pounds of dry muscle mass is an impossibility if you are not on a steroid regimen and even then it will be hard. Stop being idealistic and start being realistic, it will not happen.

Bench press, Squats, Deadlifts
8 sets of 8
twice a week each exercise
monday - bench
tuesday - deadlift
wednesday - squat
thursday - bench
friday - deadlift
saturday - squat
highest weight you can manage for those 8 reps
3500 cals a day at least, alot of protein each day.
Supplements, buy yourself some creatine and some whey / good weight gainer.
Buy some Dianabol tablets. Have about 2-3 a day and train. You could probably gain 3-4 kilos of muscle in 6 weeks.
It sounds like your not very dedicated to weight training so steroids would be a better option. Since you would probably quit after that 6 weeks, and so would any gains made hahaha

Dianabol tablets come in different strengths, so 2-3 could fluctuate between 15mg-75mg. Methandrostenolone as a sole steroid is pretty useless (in comparison to other AAS). Not using a decent PCT afterwards is just idiotic. In order for steroids to work efficiently, you need to be close to your genetic potential in both strength and weight.

Because your first cycles are the most effective ones, so the closer you are to your natural limit before starting then the more gains over it you'll reach when you do.

Ok so you want to "bulk" as it were.
Well I would work in the 6-12 rep range (6RM-12RM).
Eat A LOT. Hypertrophy is optimally attained by a caloric surplus.
There's so much more to it but yeah that is the VERY basics.

Are the first cycles more effective, though, for any reason other than that they move you closer to/past your natural limit?

I haven't read much in depth, but your body in someway develops a resistance against exogenous testosterone after a few cycles. That's why the first cycles are best and why more experienced users need to be on more complex and heavier cycles.

I'm not a real BB. I concentrate mainly to strength training, so my goal is something like 2lbs/month. In terms of strength gains my goal is to add 5-10 percent more weight/week.

You probably can't answer this as everybody is different, but how do you find out your genetic potential in those? Is there anyway/formula to working it out?

No actually body morphs is mostly a misleading pseudo scientific theory and does in no way predict a person's potential to succeed at building muscle and it certainly doesn't reveal at what rate they can and to what ultimate level they can reach.
Anyone who says otherwise is just bitter about being skinny and is probably the type of person that will shy away from a buffet because they can't ever eat as much as they even paid for.

Yes, somatotypes are idiotic constructions that were originally meant to correlate personality to body shape and have been bastardized by the fitness community with little non-anecdotal evidence for their current use.
