Any tips on strengthening for flares, I can only think of Obliques and Hipflexors that do the most part.

More flares. The movement is too high skill to benefit from anything more specific than a general degree of athleticism. Keep working on technique and drilling what you can do. A general gymnastic conditioning routine should do the rest.

i would think you have to have reasonably strong abdominals and decent upper body strength to even be able to have good form doing a flare. but after that it really is all about technique and muscle memory

Ok, At the moment i can just string 2 flares together and i get sore quite quick.
But i guess thats just the muscles going to work.
