I have fallen out of tricking as of late and I was playing alot of basketball trying to gain inches on my vert. For me it seems harder to maintain or gain inches without tricking elements thrown into my training. Round-offs are the quickest way (as far as I know) for my feet to hit and then leave the floor. I was wondering if doing sets of a several round-offs would help. Thanks. Sorry if this is noobish of me.

yeah repping tricks (correctly - or at least trying to) is basically plyometric training

Sure, it will help.
If you're working your vert for basketball though, there are more specific exercises you could do.,

If you want to use basketball as a tool to improve your vert, you fail. For you could use any other sport that involves lots of jumping like freerunning or tricking for that matter. What seems more important to improving vert is getting you squat and/or deadlift to at least 2*BW and bf low..
