I have hardly ever done squats and deadlifts but my ups are okay, i thinks it due to basketball, tricking and tumbling.
Anyway ive been reading posts about gaining on your vertical and most of you are saying the key to more ups is a serious deadlift and squat training right?
I weight in at 86kg (189lbs)
Im 6ft
And i have a standing vert of around 22-28 inches ( I will try to get precise measurements).
First i wanna know what a deadlift is?
Second how would i go about the training.
Should i start light or start at my max?
How often should i lift?
Sets and Reps ?x?
And what should my target lift be, i heard something about twice your bodyweight is this correct?(380lbs)
Some things i have asked may seem abit noobish but its only because i am a noob when it comes to lower body training.
