hello, this is my first post, and I need some insight on something. In XC/Track they have me run hills for strength, and I was wondering if it would benefit my tricking as well. Also, if it was to help, would it more benificial to to long strides, or short quick strides?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

you do short bouts of sprinting. but you use long strides (that's how sprinting is done *g*).

It won't have a direct effect on your tricking performance unless you are unconditioned. No one can land tricks because they run hills, they can land tricks because they surprise: do the tricks.

Good sprinting technique will have long strides. Long distance running is shorter strides.

Running up hills won't really get you stronger either.
