You'd probably have better luck in the tricking forums. Scalco, Mogwai, Kalman Csoka, Chris D, Ryan Sas and the list goes on, but they all have had knee (whether it be ligament or meniscus) damage in the past. It will keep you out of tricking for a while but I doubt it will fully end your tricking career. However, it probably will hinder you for a while and set you back.

The good news is you can still squat and drink milk without an ACL.

Good luck mate.

I don't really have any knowledge to impart, but I hope it's nothing serious and that you make a full and speedy recovery.
Keep us posted.

you have about half a year before you can do anything, 4 months at best. (acl tear) Im past the recovery stage, the only thing i have trouble with is that my knee gets tired really fast and I cant kick my own ass because Im not as flexible.

Good luck!

well you can try these tests..

ACL: http://ehealthmd.com/library/ACLtears/ACL_diagnosis.html

PCL: http://www.medmetric.com/qat.htm

meniscal damage: http://orthopedics.about.com/od/meniscuscartilageinjury/g/ege.htm

those are just basic tests you can do. i reccomend you have someone that knows what they're doing perform these tests tho. which means the dr. (unless you know any nearby corpsman/know a PA or NP)

best of luck, man. knee injuries suck.

yeah... you're fucked forever!

no im kidding. even if all your ligaments had grade 3 tears (completely torn) they can be surgically repaired/replaced. no matter what's wrong, do what your doctor and physical therapist say. lesson: don't be dumb about it. it is true that you know your body better than anyone, but it's also true that they spent 12-15 years in school learning specifically about orthopedics, they know more, haha. anyways, best of luck dude

oh just noticed this. haha. well still be careful about it man. i've blown both knees, and after the first knee, i could still trick too. both stuff landing on the hurt leg (sideswipe, hyperhook, etc) and stuff not on it but still kicking or yanking it around (c900, twist-cork, etc) and apparently i only got away with that because my quads and hammies were really strong, but i ended up doing hella damage to the cartlidge in the process. (over 60% had to be removed in surgery). so while you may be fine, i just advise you listen the whatever your dr says. hans is a cool guy and he may be knowledgable about knees (i have no idea if he is or not) but i remember i had also been convinced by some athletes that i had only bruised the joint. definately go for the qualified opinion and mri to be safe.
