View Full Version : What to progress to next
I have tricked now year and i can do only basics and something more but not dleg or backflip. So, i think backflip is slowing down my progress cuz if i dont have that fear i can train alot more tricks. I can do standing backflip in trampoline and all that shit but not on the ground. And im training now: aerial, 360crescent, 540hook, 540kick, c900, tornado kick, parafuso, btwist, bkick, bkickhook, sideflip, fhs, feilong and frontflip and webster when i have place where i dont hurt myself. And i can do all of those but not webster, frontflip or parafuso. So du u guys have something more what i can train to level up? If i can bflip i can think that i can do alot more things like gainers, moonkicks and flashkicks and more.
From what u say it seems u train more kick tricks than flips. If u look at the more kick based trickers here on TT e.g. Bobcheese, Shaolin.dk, Augenatic etc they seem to do great job doin more kick tricks.
Backtucks are great for overcoming fear if you're a beginner, if you feel that learning how to backtuck will help u progress then by all means go for it. but remember there are plenty of great trickers out there who havent learnt to backflip yet.
If you carry on training the ones uve listed u can make some creative combos from them ^^

Dude, just get two spotters. My friend and I spotted one of our other friends, who weighs 180 pounds, on backflip, and now he can land it with me only spotting him. And none of us had spotting experiences.
With two spotters, you can bail and still land on your knees. And seriously, if you can't get over backflip fear with two spotters, you're a wimp.
Just make sure both your friends have one hand in your thigh area, and the other hand grabbing your shirt. And just jump as high as you can, into their hands. After you know that they can support you, just crank it and go for it.
With that in mind, after learning backflip, you can get flashkick and gainers fairly easily.
It took me 6 months to get Backflip cause of the fear. I would just say I'd do it, but I would always back down. But after just going for it with two spotters, I realized that it was way easier than I thought, and plus, I had fun attempting it.
Then I learn how to Gainer onto the floor in one day .
Allright, il get spotters. And its good that i can do standing bflip on trampoline with good technigue. And i have tried spotters two times and landed both.
Btw, what are sideflip variations? I know only sideflipflash. Doublepost lol.

Terada-grab. You could also go for sidefull(variations)
Hmm, i learned nice double leg by just couple tries cuz i had good 360 crescent. I have to get anymore backflip and then i got all basics !! Not slow progress anymore i think :)

It doesn'y matter how fast you progress - as long as the tricks you have are nice and clean. Backtuck is only useful if you want to develop more flip based tricks - it forms the base for more tricks than the frontflip. However, if your more happy with kick tricks, there's no need to devote your life to trying to get back flip tricks - I just like the way they look!
aerial, 360crescent, 540hook, 540kick, c900, tornado kick, btwist, bkick, bkickhook, sideflip, feilong, double leg, 720crescent, hook and masterswipe. Now, make some good flowing combinations from those for me :)
