View Full Version : Double legs... What the hell happened?

I used to have my double legs down really easy, and could do them whenever I wanted... I even initially learnt them within about 5-10 minutes.. BUT, for some reason, over time they got less of a double leg, and more of a crouched sideways gay flip thing... Here's a video of what it used to look like, and what it looks like now... You don't seem to really jump on the second one. You kinda run into it like you're doing a sideflip, as opposed to planting your feet and jumping (not punching though). I'm no expert on doublelegs, but those are just my 2 cents.
Look at your upper body! In the first one you go up and turn around, like it should be, in the second, you don't go up at all after the dig. Go up man, the torso should go up, like in a 360cr and then turn around. Hope this helps

ok, i had the same problem
1. cool down, don't try so hard...
2. relax
3. before you attempt doubleleg again, try some low doublelegs, pike jumps (call 'em whatever you like) about stomach hight. basically non inverted horizontal level doublelegs.
your upperbody will do nothing in these to fuck you up, so it's a good warm up for a correct doubleleg motion
4. raise the angle higher and do a doubleleg, your upper body shouldnt do anything
if this doesn't work do some more pike jumps
also a tip for a doubleleg (what fixed mine)
remember:
1-st jump... just jump!!! upperbody does nothing
2-nd spin... spin... try to look forward after 360 degree rotation (the way you we're looking when you ran into it) before you bring your legs over
3-rd do a doubleleg... bring your legs over
keep in mind
in a sideflip you rotate over your shoulder
in a doublelg your upper body does nothing, in a doubleleg you rotate around your butt
