When I do basic kicking combos I end up moving horizontally a lot.
for example
tornado <----- c720 <----- hook
It seems like most people just stay in one spot during kick combos. Am I wrong or just different? I think this might be part of the reason my kicks suck.

A couple things:
1) Something similar to this: http://www.justtheskills.com/index.php?act=show_writeup&v_id=7
2) Just practice and get used to each combo, then you'll be able to change the little minute details about it once you're used to it.

That's a whole lot better than going the other way :good:
Watch your footwork...it can be a total combo crippler

Great article. Its pretty much common sense, but I needed someone to tell it to me I guess.

Yeah I go the other way on 540s sometimes and that never works out well :dead:

how bout u slow ur kicks and see where u place ur legs after kicking then u will realise where u are going wrong but in truth u arn't doing anything wrong if u want to stay in 1 spot all u have to do is slow down and teach ur muscle memory.

I tend to move quite a lot, I need a lot of room to do bigger combos.
