Hey Everyone
I was just thinking about my own inclination towards certain tricks and combos (watching and performing) and was wondering what everyone elses tendencies were?
To start the ball rolling for example, I really enjoy performing technical combos, doing wrap-fulls, double twisting techniques and tumbling.
But I just love watching a tricker with a great style!!
For more example (these trickers can clarify if they wish) -
Teddy toward swing throughs...
Sesshoumaru towards technical variations...
Bubba towards kicking...
So I'm sure there are a lot of different tastes out there (especially what trickers like to watch-wise) so let's hear them....
Unless you're Dave, who doesn't think a 'KFC Roller' tastes similar to a 'Meatlovers Pizza'... Ohh the vacuity of taste!
Layouts and flexible things:good:
I really like Raiz s/t's for some reason :eh:

Gabe Benedek fucking owns!

I also like bubbas style & scalco.
I like based combos most with agressive kicks and clean cartwheel / raiz s/t stuff.
and popping into huge tricks from td-raiz is awesome too :punched:
I actually think I have an obsession with b-twists and their variations haha.

On the flip side i think that a lack of nice technical kicks can bring you down. Not that i'd like to see heaps and heaps of kicks, but in my POV they need to be there!

I personally believe in comboing with balance between twist, kicks and flips. i always try to have those 3 ingredients in my combos.
what i love to watch is probably the same to get inspired. style is very important too.
examples:
Hans W and Bubba for kicks
Ott and Pitlock for Power!
Scott S and Punshi for Twist perhaps?
overall Style is Punshi ftw, he's got the best style ever. and he's coming back!

During a combo i love when you think they're finished the combo (it's already epic) and they bust something else out of nowhere, you could say it's putting the icing on the cake. I love when my cake is iced. Swing thru's are cool and quick powerful spins :)

Im beginning to understand and appreciate crazy stalls and unique things in tricks. Like the way a trick is carried and the little things like points and stalls just make them differ from the majority.

I'd firstly like to say johns style in his double twists is perfect, especially cart dubs and swingthrough dubs. The fact he rarely lands these well or at all really means I have to keep a keen eye on his style. Also, his rad hyper cork > aerial > fails give him many bonus style points in my honest opinion.
But let me talk about a style which I don't like. The quintessential essence of 'taste' is not a subjective experience in but only one case. THE POPCORN CHICKEN ROLLER. Now this roller is not like any other roller which has been rolled previously through the Earth's existence. No, this roller is rolled with precision, tender popcorn chicken balls of lickability and deliciousness married together with the unbeatable combination of bacon, bbq sauce and cheeeeseeee.
Now let's compare the flawless roller to a bbq meat lovers pizza. Processing...

NOT SIMILAR.
Looks like the Domin8'rs just got Rolll0rrreddd!!11one.
And that's the end of that chapter.
Sorry, I thought that was just a figure of speech.
Case closed.

Well then Dave, let me begin my rebuke by saying that next session we're having an autobahn battle!!!!!! Then we'll see whos opinion is superior!!!
Speaking of weight, let's weigh up the similarities between a 'KFC Roller' and a 'Meatlovers Pizza' -
Meat - Meat
Chicken - Chicken
Bacon - Bacon
BBQ Sauce - BBQ Sauce
Light Crusty Crust - Thin Wrap
Cheese - Cheese
Dave = Wrong!
Looks like you just got D0minat8red!

Hey Everyone,

Good thread! I love power, especially in twisting! :wicked:
Double, triple, quad, kicking, tumbling, miss leg, wrap through, swing through I couldn't really care haha! As long as it's insanely difficult and is pulled off relatively cleanly
MWOAR DOUBLE TWISTING TECHNIQUES
That being said, I don't care much for 9000 hit combos or people who have no idea when to stop. Trickers who don't do tricks with proper inversion/extension/horizontality etc where it's required annoy the crap outta me as well haha! :ogre:
DAVE, I KNOW YOU CAN SEE THIS.
YOUR OPINION ON THE ROLLER DEBATE IS INCORRECT.

A mod should change this to "Taste In Dicks" or infact they should change the whole General Trick Discussion to General Dick Discussion, LOLOLOLOLOL!
On a related note, I love Sessh, Animal and a few others:)
