I showed some very good videos to my friends, but they just replied: 'Ok, ok, there's this thing, what's with it?'
This was very weird cuz I'm nearly obsessed with tricking and they just ignore it.
so i figured they don't respect tricking cuz they don't know anything about it. They see a wonderful fulltwist, and they think: 'Yo, this is like a flip thingy, who cares?'
So the ignorance is rooted from the lack of understatement, or whatever :dead:
Has anyone experienced this on others?

Thats what ignorance is haha.
Obviously No one will know anything about Tricking because it's uber underground ! ^_^

Well obviously people will only fully appreciate something if they know alot about it or ideally do it themselves because otherwise they have no way of judging it properly. This is true for pretty much everything though (playing a musical instrument for example). So no surprises there! yay :pineapple:

Who gives a flying fuck what the world thinks about tricking seriously, tricking needs to stay underground man and not be some mega shit where you go out your house one day to do some training and all the grass is taken up by pillacks who do fuck all for 3 years but shit b kicks and the occasional front flip onto their back.

lol happens to me a lot. My friends don't care most of the time. However, they do watch me sometimes, and I do like c720 Twists and Sideswipes and crap, but all they say is, "DO A BACKFLIP!"

1) Stupid
2) Too dangerous
3) I'm too tall to do any tricks/flips.

just because joe eigo dosent throw any corks doesnt mean hes corny. he has way more persission than any person throwing double corks and double fulls... wats so cool about those any way?

You like joe?
My point being that she doesn't know what harder!
I can look at a trick and know what would be harder.
She would only know what is harder or not if someone added a split to the move.

tricking is far too complex for outsiders to understand.
you do a tornado, they think it's a flashy no-point-but-still-cool move.
you do a 540 and they think it's the same thing.
and that can be said about most of the stuff we do.

yeah, i agree. tricking is like you train for years to do a move in one sec, so the others see that second of motion, and you have to slomo for them if you need some praise
This has always been the case haha.... like some one will do a tripple full and the people watching will say... "Wow, can you do a backflip!!??"

I hate this stupid "backflip" thing... last time I showed the jervin D. Anis tribute to one of my friends to show him what tricking is and he said: I like that Joe eigo guy a lot more, His moves are way cooler and this Anis falls so often....After that I just thought: You have to get kicked by some Anis- Boxcutters....

Yeah, people will call tricking other things and think they are right.
In programming class last year while me and my friend are watching our new video...
Kid next to me: Wow that's awesome! Why is it called tricking though?
Another kid: "Tricking is like bad parkour."
O_o
I don't know why people talk when they don't know anything about it. The first kid I didn't mind but the other kid makes fun of us when he never does anything cool.

the people i know are under the impression that only few selected people that already have years and years of martial arts practice on their backs, are able to pull off the hard shit

Some people I know think that too, but then they know that I have no martial arts experience. They get confused and say I suck.
