A short story on Mexicans and 540s...

Decided it was one of those days where I should go back to the basics. Went to where it all started. The TT homepage and was like I'll just study up on every trick all over again. So I get to the 540. Now I need to mention, I haven't done a 540 in like 9+ months I s'pose, and I did remember hating them for some reason. But at that particular moment I couldn't put my finger on it. So I'm in my front yard, awing the Mexican landscape people with my awesome corks, and fulls, etc, etc. And I finally decide to set out on what I should have been doing. Set up for the 540 in like the most dramatic way ever. I was winding up like I was about to do a 1440 or something ridiculous. The Mexicans had turn' t off their equipment and everything. It was silent. I finally do it, and everything feels good, I'm thinking this is the best 540 I'll ever do. Then I land and my knee gives out. And I realize why I skipped the 540 and went to the Jackknife. Because I can't land on my kicking leg for ****. Oh and to top it all off, those ************* laughed. Didn't even see if I was ok while I laid face first in the grass for 2 minutes. Immigrants

No they really are immigrants. In fact they have a pretty good system going from what I can tell. basically they shift in and out of the country every 6 months, or w/e the legal limit is to be considered a tourist. I probably should have mentioned their friends. Don't know where you got me being superior to them from....

I think he means that jacknives are landed more on both legs then just the leg that throws out the first kick.

When you land a 540, most of your momentum from the fact you were in the air is on your kicking leg when you land. The addition of another kick right after the first one makes it so that less momentum is on the leg you land on because some is transferred to the second kick.

You can do jackknives landing on both legs. Like how you can land 360 kicks or tornado kicks on both legs. But a hyper jackknife would be even better.
