Has a butterfly kick gyro ever been done? I assume it's very possible, just don't know if anyone's tried it. It would be like where you do a bkick then as you reach down to land you pull the twist. You'd have to start spinning as you came down vertically so that it wouldn't look like a btwist. I tried and I kept just doing very stalled btwists or if I would get close I wouldn't land it. If one of you pros tried it I think it could make a nice move.

hm, wouldnt this just make it an ugly btwist?
I may try it later in the afternoon :good:

I think if you torqued out the spin as you were coming down and clearly defined it with more vertical spin it would look nice. I'm not sure though, that's why I asked

That's what it looks like. His landing leg started coming down before he twisted.

Omg... Okay before I make this post I just want to put out that I've had a little Captain Morgan tonight.

A "bkick gyro" would simply be a stalled btwist. Basically... exactly what Bubba does EVERY time he btwists. It's been done. It's been perfected. And it's actually near proper form for a butterfly twist.

That still looks more like a btwist imo, the spin is still fairly horizontal.

I think if he continued spinning it would have been a gyro, cus the he's pretty upright when he was spinning.

Bkick gyro would be like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rDb8BB0q3rY but after the second leg kicks and the first leg goes down.

If it isn't like that, it's just a very good and stalled normal btwist.

Manny Brown does one in this footage of -06 loopkicks camp, so you might have mixed him up with the loopkicks guys. It's at 01:15, after Dee's jacknife.

Colton post your better attempts!!! The way I think of it is its a B-kick that you try to get tons of table top spin on, and then once the b-kick rotation is complete (while still in the air) torque your upper body up and wrap for another rotation. The gyro definatly has to be verticle or else it is just in fact a stalled b-twist.

I used to be able to bkick half gyro... it's nothing like a btwist, if you make it like a btwist, then it will be a twist haha. I'm sure I've seen vids of people doing gyro halfs on youtube and I'd say morgan either has/could do them. I vaguely remember one of his hybrid bkick moves resembling one..

We aren't talking about stalled b-twists at all :eh: I think he's trying to make his last twist vertical... Also isn't the definition of gyro "an extra vertical rotation after the original moves rotation is completed" ie: the difference between a double leg twist and a double leg gyro one twist horizontally and one twist vertically..

Yeah, they look and feel nothing like a stalled b-twist..

If you have to land vertically, then wouldn't it be more like an aerial gyro.

You don't need to invert to gyro it...
Colton post the god damned footage already!
