This is a tricking documentary created by myself Chris Maclennan-Jones and my good friend Zain Ali. This is a assesment for our high school media class. :shocked:

We are from New Zealand and all the interviews are with New Zealand Trickers.

This was awesome! Great job on the editing and the titles and stuff. I'd like to have seen like a sit down interview with all the tricksters, so we could actually see their faces up close. Maybe spice up the variety a bit on the questions. You guys all had some pretty rad footage in there though.

Thanks for the critisism, we were going to do that but we though it might beomce a bit boring watching a guy talk. But then again you have a point about seeing their faces. Hmm maybe we shoul've put in a close up or something. Well it's done so :p Hahaha

This was extremely cool and fun to watch. for a little bit of critisism, the flashing texts at the beginning were a bit too much, and the backround music could be a little more in the backround in the interviews, it was kinda hard for a non english speaker to understand what they were saying, but that's just little things.

That was sweet! Cool intro and outro, great editting, and the ''speeches'' were nice too - different words and means for expressing the love for tricking. Excellent :smile:

Thank you everyone for all your feed back ! we really appreciate it. We showed it in class today and it seem that trickers have more appreciation for it than the general public lol but they still liked it . All they seemed to like was the flips though which is rather annoying.. haha Thanks for the love every one <3

For the "ink-like traces" I exported single frames, then used some random blotchy brushes (on photoshop) to trace the kicks/flips/twists then blended them into the video in Adobe Premiere elements. Those random flash pictures are vectors, simple arrows and some cloudy tihing, just changed the opacity when I put it in the video. And the Black and white yet colour person effect was done buy exporting a frame into photoshop, then making a new layer, pasting the exported picture into the new layer, desaturating it, then finally just rubbing out the persons picture in the desaturated layer to reveal the background colour layer underneath :)

Yeah, I love the NZ trickers, we're all so cosy :)

i really enjoyed that

i thought it was really cool getting personal insight on each of the different tricksters and hearing the similarities and differences between them all

i like that that its effort to be personal showed that every single one of you guys were different in little ways who found a common passion

and it didnt seem to really be 7 mins! it went by so much quicker than that

all in all glad to have gained a little more insight on the NZeely tricksters
