Lol, I laughed at the kick at the begining a lot :D
So during takeoff, plant your feets closer, yours are apart becouse of that "lol kick" before the 540.
Also look up for something above eye level and jump up. And after the jump put your arms in combat position so that they won't hang there like sandbags.

ah and the landing somhow hurts my ankle when doing it often. Shall I try to land it more with my weight on the toes?

Yes ^.^ when you get more air time and develop a better technique, you'll find your landings much softer.

I got injured with my first 540 and now my knees are pretty scared to do shit (hence my backflips suck). BUTTTT, I just continued doing them and I got better.
Keep the practice and keep asking for advice, matey!
yeah I have no TKD exp. or whatsoever and my lol-kick gives me some torque somehow. No idea, it just so happened. But I will pause now for 1-2 days until my ankles feel better and then give it another try while trying to:
- get more heigth
- landing on my toes
greez, I appreciate the help of you all - it's so satisfying to get a new move ;)

and with each move that feeling feels better and better
I hope so ;) The learning curve in tricking is very steep, but it's so much fuuuuun! I made my best progress so far after taking 1 week breaks and getting fully fresh back to training :]
