I've just started to work kicks into my tricking, and I haven't been tricking that long so these are pretty whack, but if anybody could help me with technique, that would be great. At the moment my 540 is really low and I can't seem to get it higher without crashing on my other knee:

Hey man! You should start with drilling the 100% basic kicks first, until they're really high and smooth, kicks like inside and outside crescent, hook and roundhouse kick. Also, I'd say that you should drill your tornado kick much more before doing 540s like that. Try to speed up the setup a little bit, but not to that point where it feels uncomfortable. Step to the left, and then step over further to the left, and dig down a bit, then explode upwards with everything, your non kicking leg, your amrs and your upperbody, also, try to bend that kicking leg a bit so you can jump off it. WHen you're in the air, just delay for a second and then kick, boom. Drill that and when it's high and smooth and powerful, when you can land it on both legs, just do the whole thing with much more power, kick through and think about landing on that kicking leg, then you'll have a 540 in no time. When you've got it, you can try to adjust it and stuff, but when that comes, just make another thread or something like that :tongue:

stop trying to keep your upperbody completely vertical, its ok to lean back a little bit, it might help

Looks like you aren't using your arms enough.

Need to get that non kicking leg WAY higher.

You need to JUMP!!! HARDER, BETTER, FASTER, STRONGER!!!

Also raise the non-kicking leg WAAAAY higher.

wow the one time u tuck ur non kickingleg you make it pretty well... what'dya know?

anyhow, leeeaaaaaaan back, then you wont have to tuck that leg, and this way helps with double leg too.

practice kicks, alot, urs are waist high, needs to be head high.
also, look up, WTF, WHY DO u look AT ZE GROUND?
seriously, dont look down, you know what you need to do, so do it, you dont need to see the ground.
AND LEEANNNN BACK!!!!! look at the written tutorial juji gets his back parallel to ze ground!!! do that! (yes its scary at first formost people, just do it, its alot easier, and helps you in the long run.)
practice spinning. do a 540 setup and spin as hard and high and long as possible out of it. dont kick, just spin, that will help you too. goodnight.
