Hey was wonderin if there were any specific excercises that could help in getting the back tuck. I'm new to tricking. Or is just trying it the best excercise. I play soccer but my vertical is real sad. The other question I have is it seems like everyone here says; "jump up, swing your arms and tuck." I don't understand how simply throwing your knees back can get you around unless you imbeded them into your chest and jump 8ft in the air... Surely you have to lean back too??

Backtucks get better with practice. All I can say is keep practising, if you get tired, stop. You also need energy to rotate your body 360 in the air as well. I find I get a faster rotation by tucking with my legs together rather than spread out.

Depends on your facilities really. If you have a decent gym to use there are plenty of mat drills you can do to improve your set.
I.E.
Set up mats to about the hieght of your shoulder blades (the bottom of them) if you were to stand with your back to it. Ideally, you want a block and then put an incline on top of it (wedge). You're going to jump up and set, looking at the wall your facing until you feel the small of your back or upper butt touch the mats, then you tuck as hard as you can. You'll roll down the incline, but the timing of your set and tuck is what you're trying to learn from this.
Without a gym or something, just try to do it a lot. Stare at a tree until the last second to help your set. Also, try pulling your hips forward a bit when you tuck, it should help you stay in the same spot you jump from.
Hopefully that helps a bit man, mostly it's about repetition with the right technique.

i attempted a backflip after using a spotter the other day and guess what, it was easy. just do them with spotters over and over until you dont need the spotter. and you can lay on the ground and practice throwing the hands up, and then bring yourself into the tuck position.
i suppose you could do the ground excercises with weights if you really wanted to...
