That was the first of that night too... they just got worse after that..

Tips are cool. I have a good idea of why it sucks.
I'm not pulling my arms in, probably not getting high enough, meaning i need that back leg higher (?)

I also noticed my body wants to become upright again to land... thats not good...

try doing a hook kick first...meaning spin around and kick out your left leg, plant it down and from there dip and tork around...this builds momentum.

The problem is that you stop twisting, lol

Just hold that spin longer :good:

Definitely Kyle, haha. While im here i hope to get that and a sideflip. Its not going so well, haha.

And i think the hook kick will be easier than a full setup and keep me from getting lost.
also in my twist, my arms arent even pulled in so i can work on that too.

Thanks guys, keep them coming, lol

i had this problem too, i overcome it by looking over that shoulder as much as possible

Close your legs together when twisting. It makes you spin faster and gives you a sinch of extra time.

chris don't let that leg go completely wild on you..keep it under control

Im guessing the left leg?

I guess i should make a conscious attempt to pull that leg all the way around too and land on it. gotta work on my coordination...

Alright, ive got a lot of good tips here, ill try to get out today and see if i can improve on it!

the only tips i give on b twist is to jump, also, rape your head behind you seems to help, as long as you stall a little...
JUST STAY WRAPPED MAN

That's not a b-twist lol. That's an illusion twist. You have to Twist in a b-twist. :good:

No offense but that is pretty crappy btwist even to my crappy standarts. First get yourself a proper btwist setup and you can do that by getting nice and floaty bkick. Running setup=easy, standing=hard. And to the actual twist first try twisting completely horizontal, it will give you feel of twisting just by few tries. And then use setup and twist.... that's pretty much how i got it. Although i lost my btwist ages ago i think it was pretty good looking considering i had it for maybe three days max. :dead:

it IS very crappy, and ive spent a lot of time recently getting my b kicks a lot more floaty and smoother, and more of getting them with a set-up as well. Hopefully very soon i can get that twisting mechanic down and have beautiful kickies.

I shall update soon i hope.

side note... crappy backflip spotters = painful fail...
lesson learned.

Wow that sucks to hear about your bad back flip spotters.

i got a good spotter yet when i did them without the spotter my body kept freezing up in the air and i would repeatedly land on my neck, even if i knew how to do them since i did them on a cushiony crash mat very well.... i have to go try again.

Mine was slightly my fault, we did one on grass and i landed okay on hands and knees, and then i started screwing with my head and took a long time on the second one. So when we were standing there he must have zoned out for a second because i went and saw his face as i was jumping. The expression said something like 'oh shit! hes going!' so he didnt get my legs all the way over, i landed on face and my knee squarely on my hand.
Good stuff...
