pull your lifting leg up alot more and wait a tad. once you get that height tuck in your lifting leg a proceed with the swipe. you got the move you just need to clean it up and fix things here and there

Grrrr no its not, raiz has nothing to do with sideswipe there are actually very different tricks. You needs a power 540 for sideswipe, im not saying raiz wont help but its not needed.:smile:

IMO:

I can invert my sideswipe way more then my raiz, but yet too me a sidewipe is a raiz 540. sooo it could be different for a lot of people.

There some exceptions to everything, I tricked with a friend that could Cheat9 but couldnt Cheat7 for the life of him.

I disagree, i persoanlly think they are two different movements and techniques and seperate from each other. Some people see sideswipe as a hyper raiz which it isnt. It should be an inverted 540.

Both tricks pay dividence to each other absolutly but i dont believe their prerequisits.

Well man, as I said on MSN, there's not only one technique to sideswipe. You can do it as a raiz switch, where the raiz would be a required prerequisite (obviously), and you can do it as a 540 inverted to where your hips are over your head. The first one is the one used most, the one with the huge arch. The second one is more for those who can't raiz haha.

The only problem with the technique of switching a raiz is that sometimes it dosn't display much of a kick.

this is funny, come on people some things are obvious and some things are not. this one is.

you can achieve a side swipe without having a raiz first,its not impossible.

but if you have a good raiz first, it will most definitely help with hip placements,inversion and over all form.

you can try to sideswipe by simply just trying to lean back on your 540, but it most likely result in a layed back 540 no surprise. while it is not impossible to sideswipe before raiz it does help a whole lot.

when i was learning raizes i had huge trouble inverting them. then for some reason i decided to try sideswipes. i got those properly inverted at probably my 1st try. after that i had no real problem inverting my raiz. i guess in sideswipes the kicking leg makes u invert easier. it wont work like this for most ppl but it definately worked for me.

I suppose its a bit hypocritical of me becasue i think i use a more horizontal technique for sideswipes also. Also i wasnt thinking of anyone in particular but ive seen sideswipes on occasion that are just dogy raiz with the leg brought across.

The best in my opinion would be a mix of inverted and raizy technique. Using the raiz technique especially looking back in the same way helps to get horizonal rather than just doing a gay 540. And being arched give a more inverted apperence:smile:
