View Full Version : Who makes the best tutorials???
So I was wondering who everyone thought was the best at making tutorials. There are alot of good ones out there. Judge them on knowledge of the move, how good they explain the tutorial, and if it makes sense to you.
At the the moment I would have to say my top 3 are:
1.)Juji
2.)Towels/flowers or w/e
3.)Skilzat
Its really close to me, what about the rest of the TT nation?

Talk to skilz on aim and you'd be surprised how much he's like scalco to get you to understand a move

wikipedea i thought you left because everyone was bashing on you cause of your shit posts (which you still make)
I'm so sick of thread bashing on these forums lately. Being a negative nancy doesn't make you cooler on this forum. It kills the community vibe.
I modeled my tutorials after Juji's anyways hahha

Really? Who are you I don't remember talking to you before ahah.

Yea it's true ahaha I hate giving advice IRL.
Mostly cause I never give it when it's not asked for. But when I do, it's usually a sentence or two.
Either way I am still confident I make better tutorials than most people haha, I can safely say that.
It's not like it means crap though.
I like Juji, Scalco, and DPT if he would finally put up some dang tutorials! WHERE ARE YOU MAN!
Oh yea, put Nick Vail on there too, he knows his technique.
Dan Pitlock is the worst hahaha.
"Dan how do I do a hyperhook?"
"Yell as loud as you can before trying it"

Seriously haha, the thing is when I sit down at a computer I obviously have dedicated my time to wasting time.
When I'm sessioning I want everyone to shut up and do tricks lol.
If Danny Perez made tutorials he'd be the best. :p

jujimufu for the win, he tells you exactly what you need to know to go out and try it, so you come up with the specifics on your own. and they are funny as hell!
"in a double leg, alot of people think its all about the legs, Those people are Fuckheads! ok!..."
lol ya now a days when I have to try and teach someone. Sometimes I purposefully tell them wrong stuff just to trick them into trying it and figuring it out on their own

good job!
I put people into 3 categories when trying to teach them tricking.
1. The kids that could do it, but just don't know what it is.
2. The kids that want to do it, but will have to work hard at it.
3. The kids who are hopeless.
The tutorials on the Loopkicks DVD were pretty awesome.
& Obviously, Juji rocks.

most tutorials are fine for me, I don't think they help that much, when I learned a backflip, all I took from jujis tutorial was
1) dig down no more than 90 degrees bend in knees
2) jump up, get your arms up
3) pull legs to chest
then I learned the stall(or set maybe) is important just to wait until you have left the ground to tuck.
I mean, in summary, I can sum up tutorials for moves pretty quickly. Btwist is probably the most complex basic IMO
(because I don't think tutorials for really advanced moves is necessary at all)
Yup, tutorials are not needed.
Basic trick tutorials are helpful when learning but beyond that...you should be able to figure it out just by watching the move.

Tutorials aren't needed at all once you have all the basics because advanced moves are just added movements that you are already familiar with but just not used to during the actual trick.
Unnecessary yet beneficial

Someone's a jealous cunt for not being mentioned.
lol, for helping newbs with backflips I sum up Andy's tutorial/tell them to watch it when they get home.
The best tutorials are made by COB. Angel Tutorial ftw!
"Those people are fuckheads, man! USE YOUR ARMS! YEAH!"
Edit: fuck, I can't find it on youtube. Try searching anything with "angel" and "tricks" and all you get is that faggot magician. Goddamnit. Anyone have a link to the angel tutorial?

Not really.
He is clearly pointing out the fact how, since the options consisted first of Jujimufu, someone said those options were terrible; which is ironic and somewhat hypocritical seeings as this website/forum is/was built owned and operated by Jujimufu himself.

I respectfully disagree....
Lets take corkscrew pop/ST for instance. How many people are out there that can do a consistant HIGH corkscrew landing on one foot but its non s/t able or pop-able. Theres a few things that will make it S/T able or pop able that you cant just look at and see. This goes for all moves, not just s/ts or twisting moves. Personally I dont like kicking tutorials unless they're a stylized or variant because if you have your prereqs, pops and backsides all down to a par theres no kick you shouldn't be able to do but...the point still stands. Also not everyone picks up tricks as fast as you or some of the other people might have/do. They might not have the natural talent for it. I've known a few. Its just hard for them to learn. So a little push, can go a long way. I think the more tutorials out there from people who understand the better. I'd rather see 20 anis' than 1 anis and 19 noobs. Share the wealth papi.
Thats like saying who makes the best cake, its all down to opinion and what you personally like in a tutorial.
Was it DELICIOUS CAKE?
