I live in El Paso Texas, which is basically in the middle of a huge desert. Our climate is usually that of low to no humidity and high temperatures (90F+)
This summer we've had a bit of rainfall and the humidity has been around 30 to 50% as opposed to the dry weather I grew up with. Around the time we started getting all this rain and muggy weather I started to lose my appetite and even feel nausea when I think about eating. It's obvious that I'm hungry and my body is seeking nutrition but I have to force myself to eat and it sucks pretty badly.
I've talked to several people in my area who say they have the same problem but blame it on the higher humidity.
Has anyone else had this problem? Know of any solutions? I'm fixing to see a doctor if I don't get my appetite back soon.

For me with weather changes, and changed in the atmospheric pressure my sinus cavities start to hurt and i get headaches. It hasn't caused any nausea for me but that is what might be happening to you.

Whole milk, whey, fruits, blended, will taste good and be just drinkable rather then needing to eat and should stay at a decent level of calories.

Well, I've been trying to drink soda since the high fructose corn syrup is supposed to increase your appetite. But yea, it doesn't help that my family buys weird foods. We don't have a blender anymore unfortunately.

Well, I woke up with a fever today. not sure if the two are related but I do know that this sucks.

HFCS is widely debated amongst things like major fat gain and satiety, personally I'd say it won't make you hungrier drinking soda, possibly more full due to gas?
Drink whole milk if you can't get enough calories, if possible buy some chocolate whey or something and mix it in, it'll give you a decent boost to calories and protein easily enough.

So yea, sickness has nothing to do with my loss of appetite. i wonder if my un natural sleep cycle has something to do with it??
probably not

what are you talking about? sickness almost always makes you lose appetite. nausea + loss of appetite + fever, my bet is you have the flu. try to eat simple foods; like soup or lightly buttered toast, and juice. make sure you also get plenty of rest. try not to drink soda, but flat coke/sprite are good for calming down nausea

A dehumidifier is a household appliance that reduces the level of humidity in air, usually for health reasons, as humid air can cause mold and mildew to grow inside homes, which has various health risks. Very high humidity levels are also unpleasant for human beings, can cause condensation and can make it hard to dry laundry or sleep.
